Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Node.JS + MySQL Expert Developer at TalentMicro, located in Bengaluru(full time onsite role). The responsibility is to build teh entire applciations on Node.JS and MySQL platform at revolutionary pace and perfection.

Mandatory Skills:

• 2+ years of extra-ordinary programming skills in Node.JS and MySQL (stored Procedures and DDL/DML)
• Exposure to application deployment on various Linux versions

Special Skills:

• Ectreeme coding skills in Node.JS and MySQL is mandatory being a startup project
• Able to achive achive DAILY targets and read the goals faser than planned timelines
• Must be a disruptive coder who can work on hackathons and heavy load conditions

Compensation
: Amazing growth for young expert level developers.

6 to 12 Lakhs/PA + ESOP of 12 to 24 Lakhs value. Upto 100% year on year growth for next 3 years is possible.

Candidate with overall 8+ years experience with 6+years in database engineering, administration, and support and should have a minimum of 4+ years specifically in Mysql databases.

Expertise in SQL experience from evaluation of new frameworks to deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning of clusters.

Solid understanding of SQL and noSQL landscape and available frameworks.

Strong in Linux and network maintenance.

Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, including Perl, Python, and Shell.

Strong SQL skills and experience.

Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MySQL Database Administrator (DBA) with 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in managing, securing, and optimizing MySQL database environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database reliability, performance, scalability, and availability across production, development, and test systems.

Key Responsibilities

Database Administration & Operations:

Install, configure, and upgrade MySQL databases (Community and/or Enterprise editions).

Manage multiple database environments including production, development, QA, and staging.

Perform regular health checks, capacity planning, and proactive monitoring of MySQL instances.

Manage replication (Master-Slave, GTID-based, Group Replication) and clustering (InnoDB Cluster, Galera).

Troubleshoot database-related issues (performance, locking, replication lag, crashes, corruption).

Maintain and enforce database security, user access control, and auditing policies.

Performance & Tuning:

Optimize database performance by monitoring slow queries, indexing, partitioning, and caching.

Analyze execution plans and tune SQL queries and schemas.

Manage high availability and scalability using replication, clustering, load balancing, and connection pooling.

Backup & Recovery:

Implement and maintain robust backup/recovery strategies using mysqldump, mysqlpump, Percona XtraBackup, or equivalent.

Test disaster recovery procedures regularly to ensure minimal downtime.

Handle point-in-time recovery and restore operations during incidents.

Handle DB refresh activity as per the requirement on AWS RDS and on prime environment.

Automation & Scripting:

Develop and maintain scripts in Shell/Python/Perl/Ansible to automate routine DBA tasks.

Required Skills

68 years of proven experience as a MySQL DBA in large-scale environments.

Strong expertise in MySQL 8.0 administration, performance tuning, replication, and clustering.

Solid understanding of RDBMS concepts, ACID properties, transactions, and isolation levels.

Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments with strong shell scripting skills.

Experience in backup/recovery strategies.

Hands-on experience with high availability solutions

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS RDS/Aurora, GCP CloudSQL, Azure MySQL).

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Exposure to Oracle MSSQL database administration

Experience with Kubernetes Docker for containerized MySQL deployments.

Knowledge of Git Repo for DB patching, backup, and instance creation.
