Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Kerala for Nebosh Trainers at Mars Safety Training Institute. The Nebosh Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering NEBOSH training courses and programs. The trainer will prepare training materials, conduct training sessions, and evaluate training outcomes. Additional responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date knowledge of NEBOSH syllabus and standards, providing support to learners, and ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH IDIP/Graduate OR Btech in Safety/ certification and relevant teaching qualifications

The consultant shall be responsible to design, develop and deliver “Safety Management and Culture Improvement” projects as per the clients' expectations and needs.

Skills & Competence requirements

The consultant should have experience of developing and implementing at least 2 such projects (of minimum 24 months duration) involving Safety Management and Culture Improvement.

The consultant should have the highest level of competency to develop the standards, competency building programs and providing handholding to the client organizations in the following areas.

• Risk assessment and containment of high-risk activities/ processes
• Development of standards on high-risk activities/processes
• Competency building across the client organisation
• Leadership coaching
• Incident investigation
• Contractor safety management
• Behavioral safety program
• Performance monitoring including audits and assessments

• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
• Maintain EHS records and prepare regulatory reports.
• Develop and update emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Advise management on EHS matters and continuous improvement strategies.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in EHS management.
• Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and developing safety protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance standards.
• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different teams.
• Knowledge of industrial hygiene and environmental monitoring.

• Develop, implement, and manage the organization's EHS policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and developing preventative measures.
• Organize and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national environmental and occupational health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate EHS records and prepare regular reports for management review.
• Develop emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with HR and operational teams to address safety concerns and implement improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest EHS legislation, industry best practices, and technological advancements.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments.
• Proficiency in developing and delivering effective training programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with incident investigation and reporting.
• Proficiency in using standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite).
• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar are highly desirable.
