Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Network Solutions Engineer to join our Professional Services organization. This highly skilled individual will act as a subject matter expert for networking and software-defined networking (SDN) technologies, working closely with our Systems Integrations team, Engineering teams, and PreSales engineers.
The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background in enterprise networking and a strong understanding of modern virtualized and cloud-native networking approaches, including OpenStack Neutron, VMware NSX, OVN/OVS, Calico, Cilium, and related technologies. This role will shape network designs for our Private Cloud Director (PCD) deployments, ensure successful integrations with customer environments, and create best practice documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Leadership & Advisory
- Provide expert network design and troubleshooting guidance to the Professional Services Systems Integrations team for PCD deployments.
- Partner with Engineering to address network architecture challenges, influence product design for better interoperability, and resolve complex escalations.
- Support pre-sales engineers in designing network architectures for customer proposals, POCs, and technical validations.
2. Solution Design & Integration
- Design and document best practice network architectures for integrating PCD with physical and virtual network infrastructures.

Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of enterprise networking experience, including design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS), VPN-as-a-Service (VPNaaS), and Load Balancer-as-a-Service (LBaaS) solutions.
- Expertise in routing, switching, VLANs, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, and related protocols.
- Strong background in software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).
- Experience with OpenStack Neutron networking services and plugins, as well as integrations with major SDN controllers.

This highly skilled individual will act as a subject matter expert for networking and software-defined networking (SDN) technologies, working closely with our Systems Integrations team, Engineering teams, and Pre Sales engineers.The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background in enterprise networking and a strong understanding of modern virtualized and cloud-native networking approaches, including Open Stack Neutron, VMware NSX, OVN/OVS, Calico, Cilium, and related technologies. This role will shape network designs for our Private Cloud Director (PCD) deployments, ensure successful integrations with customer environments, and create best practice documentation for internal and external stakeholders.Key Responsibilities1. Technical Leadership & AdvisoryProvide expert network design and troubleshooting guidance to the Professional Services Systems Integrations team for PCD deployments.Partner with Engineering to address network architecture challenges, influence product design for better interoperability, and resolve complex escalations.Support pre-sales engineers in designing network architectures for customer proposals, POCs, and technical validations.2. Solution Design & IntegrationDesign and document best practice network architectures for integrating PCD with physical and virtual network infrastructures.Guide SDN integration efforts across multiple vendor and open-source platforms (e.g., VMware NSX, OVN/OVS, Open Stack Neutron, VXLAN, Geneve, Calico, Cilium).Perform hands-on configuration, testing, and optimization of networking components in customer and lab environments.3. Documentation & Knowledge SharingDevelop internal best practice guides for network design, deployment, and troubleshooting in Open Stack and Kubernetes environments.Create customer-facing documentation to support network planning and implementation.Deliver enablement sessions for Professional Services, Pre Sales, and Support teams on networking topics and technologies.4. Continuous Improvement & InnovationStay current with advancements in networking, SDN, NFV, and cloud-native network architectures.Work with Engineering to propose new features and enhancements for improved network integration and automation.Contribute to the refinement of Professional Services delivery methodologies for network design and implementation.Required Qualifications15+ years of enterprise networking experience, including design, deployment, and troubleshooting.Hands-on experience with Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaa S), VPN-as-a-Service (VPNaa S), and Load Balancer-as-a-Service (LBaa S) solutions.Expertise in routing, switching, VLANs, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, and related protocols.Strong background in software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).Experience with Open Stack Neutron networking services and plugins, as well as integrations with major SDN controllers.Specialization in VMware networking (NSX-T, NSX-V) or Open Stack networking, with the ability to work across both stacks preferred.Knowledge of cloud-native networking for Kubernetes (e.g., Calico, Cilium, Flannel).Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting tools and methodologies in multi-vendor environments.Preferred QualificationsExperience automating network provisioning and configuration using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Power Shell or Python.Familiarity with load balancers, firewalls, and security policy automation.Vendor certifications (e.g., CCNP/CCIE, JNCIE, VCAP-NV, or equivalent) are highly desirable.Experience authoring technical whitepapers or contributing to open-source networking projects.Core CompetenciesExcellent communication skills for technical and executive-level discussions.Ability to translate complex networking concepts into clear guidance for customers and teammates.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on customer outcomes.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across engineering, delivery, and customer-facing teams.Why Join Us?Work at the forefront of private cloud and software-defined networking innovation.Collaborate with a world-class team of cloud, networking, and infrastructure experts.Help shape network strategies for one of the industry’s most advanced private cloud platforms.
