Roles And Responsibilities
- Validate the payrolls inputs (from business teams) and outputs (from the vendors) and administer accurate and timely payrolls for the countries assigned
- Prepare detailed variance analysis for quality analysis
- Interaction and relationship management with the payroll service providers of the countries assigned
- A quality approach, eye for detail in delivering the payrolls in line with the compliance requirements and service at the heart of everything we do
- Ensure all employee queries are answered in time, co-ordinating with vendors

- Handle payroll audit (internal & external) for the region
- Lead the payment setup for markets assigned

- Standardize, help document, challenge status quo and repeat the cycle

We are rapidly expanding Rippling to serve the needs of employees and employers all over the world. This role, Global Payroll Operations Specialist, is a critical hire for the Global Payroll Operations team that will be fully dedicated to developing and executing these new capabilities. This role will own all operational aspects across Canada, including tax issue resolution on behalf of our customers, communication with government agencies, and collaboration with R&D teams. - Natively built payroll software supports key payroll and tax compliance requirements across all Canadian provinces
- Product bugs and product issues (e.g., calculation errors, file generation errors) are quickly addressed

- Propose automated solutions that enable better efficiency and process improvement
- Deep understanding of Canadian payroll and tax compliance requirements. Key areas of expertise include: tax calculations, EHT and WSIB filing and payment requirements, ROE filings, tax notice resolution, reconciliations, and auditing
- Experience communicating and collaborating with tax agencies including CRA, Revenu Quebec, Service Canada, EHT, and WSIB
