- Mediversal Multi Super Specialty Hospital is currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pediatrics Intensivist to join our esteemed team of healthcare professionals. As a Pediatrics Intensivist, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in our pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).**Responsibilities**:
- Critical Care Management: Provide expert medical care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU, including the diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex medical conditions.
- Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists, to provide comprehensive care to critically ill children.
- Ventilation and Life Support: Manage advanced respiratory support, including mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation, as well as other life support interventions such as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
- Hemodynamic Monitoring: Perform and interpret hemodynamic assessments, including invasive monitoring, to guide the management of cardiovascular conditions in critically ill children.
- Diagnostic Procedures: Conduct and interpret a variety of diagnostic procedures, such as arterial and central line placements, lumbar punctures, and bronchoscopies, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and administer appropriate medications, including vasoactive drugs, sedatives, and analgesics, while closely monitoring their effects and potential adverse reactions.
- Family Communication and Support: Effectively communicate with the families of critically ill children, providing updates on their condition, discussing treatment options, and offering support and counseling during challenging times.
- Quality Improvement and Research: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in research activities to advance pediatric critical care medicine and improve patient outcomes.
**Qualifications**:
- Medical degree (MD) with specialization in Pediatrics and additional fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
- Valid license to practice medicine and board certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
- Proficient knowledge and clinical expertise in the management of critically ill pediatric patients, including advanced respiratory and cardiovascular support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
- Compassion, empathy, and the ability to provide support and comfort to families during challenging times.
- Strong decision-making skills in high-pressure situations and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with the latest research and advancements in pediatric critical care medicine.
