The ideal candidate will be an experienced clinician and educator with a strong academic background, capable of mentoring faculty and students while overseeing departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead teaching activities for undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD) students.
- Supervise pediatric inpatient and outpatient services, NICU/PICU operations.
- Guide research, publications, and thesis/dissertation work of PG students.
- Organize and participate in clinical audits, CMEs, workshops, and conferences.
- Ensure compliance with NMC/MCI norms and college academic standards.
- Mentor junior faculty, residents, and coordinate curriculum planning.
- Maintain high standards in patient care, academic delivery, and departmental leadership.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Qualification: MD in Pediatrics from a recognized NMC/MCI institute.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years teaching experience, including 3 years as Associate Professor (as per NMC norms).
- Registration: Valid registration with State Medical Council/NMC.

Position Summary: The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) for Pediatrics/NICU is responsible for providing specialized medical care to pediatric and neonatal patients admitted to the hospital. Working under the supervision of pediatricians and neonatologists, the RMO ensures the delivery of comprehensive and compassionate healthcare services to infants, children, and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough medical assessments and provide appropriate treatment for pediatric and neonatal patients admitted to the hospital.
Coordinate with pediatricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for patients based on their medical conditions and needs.
Monitor the health status, vital signs, and developmental progress of pediatric and neonatal patients throughout their hospital stay.
Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide supportive care to pediatric and neonatal patients as prescribed by the attending physician.
Educate parents and caregivers on proper infant and child care, medication administration, and preventive healthcare measures.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide resuscitation interventions for critically ill or unstable pediatric and neonatal patients.
Document all medical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and comprehensively in medical records.
Collaborate with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and support services to ensure the holistic care of pediatric and neonatal patients.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case discussions, and clinical meetings to review patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and guidelines related to pediatric and neonatal care, infection control, and patient safety.
Qualifications and Skills:
Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
Valid medical license to practice as a Resident Medical Officer.
Completion of internship and residency training in pediatrics or neonatology.
Previous experience working in pediatric wards, neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), or similar settings is preferred.
Sound clinical knowledge and skills in pediatric assessment, diagnosis, and management of common childhood illnesses and conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with pediatric patients, parents, caregivers, and healthcare teams.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of care.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment and contribute to a positive work culture.
Commitment to continuous professional development through ongoing medical education, training, and certification activities.
Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
