- Work with Product, UI/UX, Architecture, IT Ops and Development teams in identifying non-functional requirements criteria to define appropriate non-functional tests and test environment needed.
- Contributes to the design, best practices, tools, and non-functional testing principles in conjunction with the Software Engineering strategies
- Monitors the effectiveness of non-functional tests, peer reviews, and provides recommendations for changes.
- Collaborates with other specialists and/or technical experts to ensure Software Engineering is delivering to the highest possible standards and that solutions support stakeholder needs and business requirements.
- Tap into available resources to understand client usage patterns and data sizes and reflect that appropriately in the non-functional test parameters
- Define and create non-functional test plan and strategic roadmap.
- Create high quality, reliable and reusable non-functional tests from non-functional requirements and quality standards to help get the team closer to the goal of delivering working software to production at the conclusion of every sprint.
- Conduct non-functional test; measure, analyze and evaluate results; establish benchmarks; and provide summary report/s and recommendation as necessary.
- Work with the development team in the investigation and resolution of non-functional related issues and bottlenecks.
- Participate in defect review process and continue to identify improvements in preventing and early detection of client production issues related to non-functional requirements.
- Help support and maintain the goal of continuous and regular non-functional test execution and a proper analysis and communication of results.
- Serve as a champion of non-functional testing and help support the Software Engineering functions through lunch & learn, brown bag sessions, and other learning sessions.
- Suggest new tools and techniques to improve performance testing efficiency.
- High learning adaptability, demonstrating understanding of the implications of technical issues on business requirements and / or operations.

Knowledge & Skills:

- A Bachelor's/College Degree would be beneficial and experience in a technology related discipline, such as IT or Engineering or equivalent experience is required
- Experience on creating non-functional test scenarios from non-functional requirements and/or User Stories
- Experience on creating and implementing strategic roadmap for non-functional testing; design standards, tools, architecture
- Knowledge and experience on non-functional testing categories such as, but not limited to: stress, load,endurance, volume, resiliency, disaster recovery and scalability testing.
- Knowledge and experience on tools such as JMeter, Load Runner, Visual Studio Enterprise Web Load and Performance Testing, Git, TeamCity, Fiddler, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, SQL Server Profiler, Oracle SQL Developer or other profiling and performance tools
- Experience on writing T-SQL, Shell scripts, Pro* C and/or C
- Experience working on both Linux and Windows Operating Systems
- Experience working with Agile Scrum teams, including those distributed geographically
- Familiarity with change management systems and processes
- Knowledge on principles of continuous integration and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
