Role Details
The successful candidate will:
- Actively support the Catholic dimension of our school.
- Hold a valid teaching qualification and relevant post-graduate qualification in Education.
- Be student focused with proven experience in the provision of an engaging Performing Arts program aligned to the Australian Curriculum and enthusiastically promote music, dance and drama across the school.
- Display well-developed communication skills to build and maintain respectful relationships with all members of the school community.
- Demonstrate a deep commitment to inclusion and strong understanding of the processes involved in supporting students to have agency in their learning.
- Adopt Positive Behaviour Intervention & Support strategies and display the ability to promote student responsibility and self-regulation.
- Exhibit strong and effective organisational skills to manage diverse responsibilities including School Choir, Liturgical Band, Instrumental Program, Whole School Concerts/Performances and School/Parish Liturgical events.
Additional Information
The Performing Arts Program is offered as a specialist curriculum area at Our Lady of Hope School. It is taught across Reception to Year 6 classes. The three days of teaching and co-ordination of extra curricular Performing Arts activities may be negotiated upon the successful appointment of a candidate.
Qualifications and Training:
- SA Teachers Registration;
- Working with Children Check;
- Approved Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care;
- First Aid Certificate;
- Be willing to undertake Teacher Accreditation in Catholic Education SA training, along with any other compulsory training necessary for the role.
