The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of reservoir physics, fluid flow, and advanced simulation techniques, coupled with excellent communication and problem-solving skills to advise on complex reservoir management challenges.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed reservoir characterization and analysis using geological, petrophysical, and production data.
  • Develop and calibrate reservoir simulation models to predict future performance and evaluate development scenarios.
  • Design and optimize field development plans, including well placement, injection strategies, and production optimization.
  • Analyze production data to identify reservoir performance issues and recommend remedial actions.
  • Conduct uncertainty assessments and risk analyses related to reservoir performance and economics.
  • Evaluate enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods and design implementation strategies.
  • Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, production engineers, and management to develop integrated field strategies.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior reservoir engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of reservoir engineering practices.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in reservoir engineering technologies, software, and methodologies.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, with a strong focus on subsurface evaluation and field development.
  • Proven expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel RE, CMG).
  • Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and rock mechanics.
  • Experience with decline curve analysis, material balance calculations, and statistical analysis.
  • Familiarity with various EOR techniques and their application.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, global team environment.
  • Experience with data analytics and scripting languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
