**Job Summary**:
The Lab Instructor in Physics will be responsible for conducting, supervising, and assisting in laboratory experiments for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The role involves preparing laboratory setups, ensuring proper usage of equipment, guiding students in experimental work, maintaining records, and supporting faculty members in practical teaching.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and set up laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials required for physics experiments.
- Guide and assist students in conducting experiments, ensuring safety and proper handling of instruments.
- Demonstrate experimental procedures and provide technical support during lab sessions.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Ensure adherence to laboratory safety rules and protocols.
- Maintain stock registers, issue registers, and records of instruments and consumables.
- Provide support in developing new experiments and innovative lab practices.
- Assist faculty members in research and practical projects, as required.
- Report damages, malfunctions, or shortages of equipment to the Lab In-charge/Head of Department.
- Support in conducting laboratory examinations and evaluations.
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
- **Educational Qualification**: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Physics (or equivalent qualification in Applied Sciences).
- **Experience**: Prior experience in handling physics laboratories in academic institutions will be preferred. Freshers with strong practical skills may also apply.
- **Skills Required**:
- Strong knowledge of basic and advanced physics experiments.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to guide students effectively.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical problems in equipment.
- Commitment to safety standards and laboratory discipline.
