Role & responsibilities:
- Oversees project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure the project stays on track and within budget
- Responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring quality and safety standards
- Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using tools like MS Project or Primavera, including PERT networks, milestone tracking, and resource allocation
- Creating and managing the project budget, tracking expenses, and reporting on cost performance against the plan
- Regularly monitoring project progress against the schedule and budget, identifying potential delays, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
- Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation plans to minimize their impact on the project timeline and budget.
- Maintaining regular communication with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams on project progress and any issues that may arise.
- Planning and coordinating the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials on project execution.
- Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with established quality and safety standards.
- Preparing and delivering clear and concise presentations to management and other stakeholders, summarizing project progress, key issues, and proposed solutions
- Coordinating with contractors to meet project requirements, including schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Project complies with all relevant regulations and standards.
Skills:
Knowledge of safety and quality standards in the construction industry.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and codes.
ERP systems, Primavera, construction management software and proficiency in project management software and tools.
Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies, including PERT and CPM.
Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and management, preferably in the thermal power plant construction industry.

About The Role
The
Resource Planning Manager
is responsible for planning, forecasting, and managing resources across projects and business units. The role ensures optimal workforce utilization, alignment of skills with project needs, and effective capacity planning to support business growth and client delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Resource Planning & Allocation
- Lead and manage the end-to-end resource planning process across multiple projects.
- Maintain an up-to-date view of resource availability, capacity, and skills.
- Allocate resources based on business priorities, skills, and workload balancing.
- Maintain and update the resource planning tool/system with accurate data on employee availability, assignments, and skills.
Forecasting & Workforce Management
- Partner with Project Managers and Business Leaders to forecast demand based on pipeline, sales forecast and project needs.
- Identify potential resource gaps (shortage or surplus) and propose hiring, subcontracting, or upskilling solutions.
- Support leadership in strategic workforce planning by providing data-driven insights on future capacity needs.
Governance & Reporting
- Develop and track KPIs such as utilization, demand fulfilment, and bench management.
- Prepare regular capacity and demand reports for leadership review.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a single point of contact for resourcing discussions across business units.
- Collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, and L&D to address skill gaps and hiring requirements.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to enable effective resourcing decisions.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, HR, Operations Management, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in resource planning, workforce management, or capacity planning.
Key Skills
- Expertise in resource management tools (e.g., MS Project, SAP, Workday, or equivalent).
- Analytical mindset with advanced Excel/Power BI skills for reporting and forecasting.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

The Resource Coordinator is responsible for planning and collaborating across functional roles to ensure appropriate skill sets for project delivery resources match assigned projects and workload.
