Function: India Seed Operations
**Summary**
Work as Shift supervisor Receiving, Sorting and Drying, Conditioning, Treatment and packing Operations at our own and contract manufacturing facilities. Responsible for meeting the goals of Safety, Quality and Productivity in Drying, conditioning and packing activities for achieving operational efficiency. Coordinate with warehouse team for smooth product inflows as planned to achieve packing efficiencies. Assure quality standards through the Drying, conditioning and packing processes and ensure timely availability of seed for distribution. Plan and allocate work to the Drying, conditioning and packing operators in areas of conditioning and packing. Train and coach the plant contractual staff in equipment maintenance and handling operations. Plan and allocate contract workers. Assist in implementing the preventive maintenance of plant equipment and facilities in the area of operation. Ensure minimal equipment breakdowns with qualitative preventive maintenance and good upkeep of the plant facilities/buildings with the help of maintenance & operations team. Implement EHS, DPS and QMS programs in the work areas.
Job description:
+ Monitor the work schedules to various activities of Drying, conditioning and packing to achieve high efficiency levels in plant operations in the respective shift. - 10%
+ Coordinate with Field team and warehouse team to ensure smooth and uniform flow of Cob, Raw/SR material conditioning - 5%
+ Execute the Drying, Shelling, conditioning operations in the respective shift. Achieve the targeted productivity and recoveries. Ensure the standard protocols are implemented in all plant operational activities including data entry. Package the seed of defined quality standards and quantities to meet delivery in the required time frames. Implement EHS/QMS/DPS as per the direction of respective leads - 55%
+ Execute plant maintenance activities as per the schedule to ensure all the machines and equipment are in good working condition at all times. Ensure the availability of spare parts of required quantity and quality with the help of Leader & maintenance team. Be an active member for off season maintenance and breakdown maintenance. - 15%
+ Allocate operators and contract workers to various jobs in consultation with the respective leads and ensure that the hired manpower is used effectively and efficiently. Ensure the contract workers follow company safety protocols on the job site. - 7%
+ Ensure clean and safe working environment following established safety procedures. Ensure that housekeeping is always maintained to the company's high standard - 8%
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
What working conditions (noise, heat, cold, fumes, dust etc.,) are present in this position which would be considered hazardous or disagreeable? - dust, noise
Flexible to work in shifts including night shift.
**Education** : Bachler degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Agricultural / Electronics Engineering
Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in plant operations
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to act as a team member
Good computer skills - spread sheets and data base management
Knowledge of mechanical work
English and local language skill is required
Understanding of Seed Conditioning
