The purpose of this role is to manage all the in-store technologies including point of sales and mobile POS and its integrations with other systems such as credit card processing, loyalty, online ordering, and ERP. The role will also have strong knowledge of business processes in store and advise functional teams in technology related areas.
Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:
New POS implementation
- Document the detailed business requirements for various modules including menu management, ordering, reporting, cash management and channels management
- Develop detailed knowledge of the existing POS solution including customizations, current challenges, configurations, and deployment architecture etc.
- Closely work with the product vendor to identify the gaps and finalize a business requirements document
- Coordinate with the product vendors to ensure delivery of the business requirements and all integration
- Build test plans and coordinate with a third-party test vendor to test the new POS software
- Conduct user trainings and provide day to day support to ensure smooth transition to the new POS software
- Liaise with all relevant internal teams, structures and departments as appropriate to promote awareness and delivery of the programme
Day to day point of sales management and stakeholder management
- Coordinate with the POS support vendor to ensure all POS related incidents raised by the store teams are addressed in a timely manner
- Build knowledge around the system to ensure timely closure of incidents
- Continuously work on systems / process improvements and advise business of potential IT / digital interventions
- Manage internal functional stakeholders in understanding their new requirements and issues related to in-store technologies
- Provide support on all integration related issues with loyalty, credit card and other systems

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be leading large, strategic, or complex areas that have a clear impact on the success of the company. Your team will be primarily responsible for building and maintaining TCGplayer’s Point-of-Sale product with an emphasis on facilitating the transaction with the customer. You will be uplifting legacy applications into a microservice based architecture using the latest and greatest technologies. You will work closely with other development teams to bring a cohesive and intuitive selling experience to our customers across TCGplayer’s suite of tools. Due to the criticality of point-of-sale software to a seller’s business, you are someone who places extra rigor on software quality, security, observability and more. What you will accomplish:
Build a best-in-class Point Of Sale system for Local Game Stores, used by thousands of customers domestically and internationally, allowing them to profitably grow their business in an omni-channel environment
You will lean on your extensive experience to set development trends and architectural direction for your team and the Engineering organization as a whole.
You will work with your manager to decompose and plan large technical efforts into manageable schedules to ensure the on-time delivery of software.
You will bridge the gap between Engineering and other stakeholders such as Architecture, Ops, Product and even senior management.
You will mentor and level up the members of your team.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or a combination of education and experience
12 or more years of experience as a software engineer with distributed systems
5+ years of C# (ASP.Net/.Net Core)
Significant experience in high volume production systems design with consideration for high availability, disaster recovery, performance, fault tolerance, and security
Expert knowledge of RDBMS technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL stores (Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
Expert knowledge of APM (Application Process Monitoring), particularly Scalyr/DataSet for logs and New Relic for dashboards & alerting
Expert knowledge of event/stream processing mechanisms, specifically Kafka, but also with AWS SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ, or AzureBus
Experience designing and developing microservices in an AWS cloud based architecture
Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership and collaboration skills

Role Purpose:
We are looking for proactive engineering managers with 10+ years of engineering experience and proven leadership skills. Engineering managers are expected to work on many projects at the same time, build and manage diverse teams of engineers from different disciplines, formulate and execute strategies, and coordinate with other managers.

Bachelor's/master’s degree in engineering • Around 7 to 15 yrs of total exp working on delivery /Development /Team management etc • Minimum 4 to 5 exp in working with EVM, Android related technology. • Minimum 4 to 5 exp in working frontend technologies like EMV knowledge, Android POS development experience• Minimum 1 to 3 exp in working in mobile technologies like Android • Good understanding in commonly used Databases like SQL, NoSQL
Technical skills & efficiency:
Personnel and project management skills • Expert-level knowledge of sector technology and processes • Organizational, planning, and documentation skills • Proficiency to explain complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders • Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously • Past use of Agile/Scrum or similar collaborative tools a plus • Ability to create a set of qualifications for a new product • Proficient in stakeholder management and conflict resolutions • Experience in fintech space is an advantage
