Job Summary:
The CNC Machining Specialist – Precision Manufacturing will play a dual role in supporting technical manufacturing operations and ensuring smooth vendor management in Bangalore. Key Responsibilities:
1. CNC Machining Quotation & DFM Support
· Develop accurate quotations for CNC machining jobs, factoring in materials, processes, tooling, and cycle times.
· Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback on customer drawings to ensure cost-effective and efficient production.
· Act as a technical resource to the sales team by reviewing requirements and suggesting optimal manufacturing approaches.
2. Process Planning & Oversight
· Define detailed process charts , including tools, operations, and parameters to be followed by vendors.
· Maintain technical oversight of vendor operations to ensure process compliance and consistency
· Develop CAM toolpaths for complex machining jobs when required.
3. Vendor Development and Coordination with Manufacturers
- Identification of Manufacturers: Assist the Company in identifying and developing manufacturing partners for various manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, 3D printing, EDM and sheet metal fabrication. Such identification may either be linked for a particular enquiry or otherwise keeping in mind the manufacturing processes offered by the Company. Further, assist the Company in onboarding such manufacturing partners.
- Manufacturer Coordination : Work with the marketplace’s network of manufacturers to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
- Technical Liaison : Act as the technical point of contact between Company and manufacturers, ensuring clear communication and resolution of technical issues.
- Recommend Solutions : Suggest appropriate manufacturing vendors, processes and materials based on customer requirements along with the necessary tools / moulds required, if any.
- Support ongoing vendor relationship management to improve quality and reduce lead times.
4. Quality checks and Expediting
· Conduct quality checks on manufactured parts using gauges, verniers, CMM, and other precision instruments.
· Ensure compliance with GD&T, drawings, and customer specifications before shipment.
· Work closely with vendors to expedite production, resolve technical issues, and ensure timely deliveries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in CNC machining, programming, or manufacturing operations.
