They are a leading manufacturer and exporter of high-quality metal components, specializing in castings, machined parts, forgings, and fabrications. Job Title: Central Production Lead– Precision Component Manufacturing
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience
Work Timing: 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM
Job Location: Bangalore
Key Responsibilities:
Position Overview:
The Plant Operations Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations for precision components at our partner factories, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and scalability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with best practices in manufacturing, exposure to various scales and complexities of operations, and a track record of driving continuous improvement in a high-precision environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Management:
- Oversee end-to-end production processes to ensure output meets quality, efficiency, and delivery targets.
- Develop and implement production schedules, resource allocation plans, and coordinate with partner factory leads for work planning and prioritization.
- Develop, monitor and analyze KPIs (yield, rejections, cycle time) to identify and address bottlenecks and underperformance.
2. Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications, embedding quality control at every stage.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ISO, GMP, customer-specific standards) and lead audit readiness.
3. Process Improvement & Best Practices:
- Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies to minimize waste and maximize productivity at partner factories.
- Integrate automation, MES/ERP, and digital tools for real-time data collection and process visibility.
- Conduct scheduled trainings, implement QMS and drive continuous improvement initiatives across partner factories.
4. Safety & Risk Management:
- Foster a culture where safety is paramount at partner factories; ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and internal policies.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks and maintain business continuity.
5. People Leadership:
- Lead, train, and mentor cross-functional teams; promote cross-training and workforce flexibility to support scaling and operational agility.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and build a high performance culture centered on accountability and engagement.
6. Supply Chain & Inventory
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams of partner factories to ensure material availability matches production demands, especially during scaling or new product introductions.
- Lead implementation of vendor-managed inventory and digital supply chain solutions to optimize stock levels and prevent disruptions.
7. Budget & Cost Control
- Manage operational budgets, monitor expenses, and drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
8. Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare and present detailed reports on operational performance, improvement projects, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
- Maintain clear communication channels across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
Qualifications & Experience: -
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within precision component manufacturing.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean/Kaizen, Six Sigma, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Proven ability to manage operations at different scales (startup, ramp-up, high volume) and complexities (multi-product, regulated environments).
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills; proficiency with MES/ERP and manufacturing analytics tools.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and change management abilities.
Preferred Skills: -
- Experience with automation, IIoT, and digital transformation in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance (ISO, GMP, customer-specific standards).
