  • You will be responsible for development and Scale-up of processes for new products, Technology Transfer & Process Validation of the product at plant scale.
  • You will be responsible to work in collaboration with Chemistry team & provide necessary inputs during Design of Experiments (DoE) studies & further process optimization.
  • You will be responsible to develop detailed process understanding & ensure scale-up feasibility using fundamental studies of reaction kinetics, Crystallization, Process Safety, Process analytical technology (PAT).
  • You will be responsible to ensure appropriate facility/equipment/technology mapping at in house/SBP plants.
  • You will be responsible to draft the process for scale up i.e Kilo lab, Critical Process Parameter (CPP) and validation batches in co-ordination with Cross Functional Teams.  
  • You will be responsible for Technology Transfer & Scale-up of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) and engineering optimization studies with minimal guidance 
  • You will be responsible for supporting Drug Master Filing (DMF), address regulatory queries related to process engineering, and demonstrate awareness of process validation, GMP, and GLP aspects to facilitate smooth regulatory filing.
  • Your role will involve staying familiar with the Intellectual property (IP) landscape and relevant literature, participate in industry forums, and disseminate knowledge within PE teams, applying existing knowledge and technologies during development.
  • You will be responsible for proactive planning & timely completion of Process Engineering tasks in alignment with project goals.
  • You will be working collaboratively in cross functional team to drive Process Engineering activities.
  • You will be responsible to Provide technical & execution guidance to new members in Process Engineering team.  

Qualifications

Educational qualification: B.tech in Chemical engineering

Minimum work experience: 7 years of experience in Process development & scale up of at least 6-8 products.

Skills & attributes: 
Technical Skills

  • Have work experience on Process scale up of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.
  • Knowledge of core chemical engineering like Heat & mass transfer, reaction engineering, fluid dynamics, separation technologies etc. for process optimization & scale up  
  • Experience in Operational Excellence, Scale-up process.
  • Knowledge of product Development, basic understanding of Chemistry, analytical, RA and IP  
  • Experience in Technology Transfer

  • Education: Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in PFMEA, Design for Manufacturing , Proto build, Change & Configuration Management Process Creation, Workstation Ergonomics Study, VSM & BOM.
  • Proficiency in Process Engineering, writing manufacturing work instructions, line balancing.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP for BOM, Routings, and Configuration follow-up.
  • Knowledge of Quality, EHS standards, and Ergonomics.
  • Familiarity with CAD and PLM tools (, CATIA, DELMIA) and IS common tools.
  • Strong expertise in Process FMEA, QRQC, and manufacturing line design and layout creation.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams to ensure all industrial deliverables are met.
  • Experience in new product development is a plus.

  • Your future role

  • Take on a new challenge and apply your manufacturing and process engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, forward-thinking, and solution-oriented teammates.
  • You'll play a pivotal role in defining the manufacturing processes and associated equipment for new products while ensuring industrial deliverables are met. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Product Design Engineers, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Industrial Quality, and others), lead cross-functional teams to identify risks and solutions, and much more.
  • You’ll specifically take care of industrial documentation, process validation, and manufacturing workload estimation, but also support production to achieve manufacturing QCD targets.
  • We’ll look to you for:

  • Gathering and explaining industrial requirements to Engineering during product specification and design phases.
  • Collaborating with Engineering in co-designing products and processes using standard methodologies.
  • Designing macro-processes and preparing for the introduction of new technologies.
  • Identifying critical process steps and conducting detailed Process FMEAs.
  • Developing specifications for industrial means and validating product designs through FAR and FAI.
  • Supporting production teams post-serial Go and contributing to industrial retrofits after engineering changes.
