The Manager – Procurement (Europe) will lead procurement activities for European business units, focusing on end-to-end RFP management, strategic sourcing, and vendor relationship management.

Job Description:

A. RFP Management (Core Responsibility)

  • Lead end-to-end RFP processes for European procurement projects, from requirements gathering to award finalization.
  • Draft RFP documents, including Scope of Work (SOW), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), evaluation criteria, and pricing templates.
  • Manage stakeholder alignment to define specifications and evaluation frameworks.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, and IT to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Develop bid evaluation models and conduct supplier scoring, ensuring transparency and fairness.
  • Drive competitive sourcing strategies to achieve best value outcomes.


B. Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for key European spend categories such as:

o IT hardware & software

o Telecom & network services

o Facilities & real estate services

o Professional & managed services

o Corporate indirect procurement (travel, marketing, etc.)

  • Conduct spend analysis to identify cost optimization opportunities and supplier consolidation initiatives.
  • Build long-term category plans aligned with business objectives.


C. Vendor Governance

  • Identify, qualify, and onboard strategic suppliers in Europe.
  • Negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs), contracts, and SLAs to secure favorable commercial and operational terms.
  • Establish vendor performance scorecards and track supplier performance against KPIs.
  • Address vendor escalations and implement corrective action plans when required.


D. Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the PO-to-invoice process ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP and sourcing platforms.
  • Champion digital procurement automation tools for process standardization.
  • Provide regular reports and dashboards to global leadership on procurement metrics.


  • 4. Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business Administration. MBA preferred.
  • Experience
  • 8–10 years of progressive procurement experience, with minimum 5 years managing RFPs and strategic sourcing for European markets.
  • Domain Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of European procurement regulations, GDPR, VAT, and local compliance standards.
  • Tools Expertise
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics) and e-sourcing/RFP tools (Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer).
  • Certifications
  • CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent highly preferred.

The Services Procurement (SOW Management) Specialist assists the client’s SOW business owners with sourcing, contracting, managing, and remittance processing of services contracts. As the Services Procurement (SOW Management) Specialist manager you will:

● Develop partnering relationships with the client’s SOW business owner community and become well versed in the historical and projected buying needs of the departments supported by the MSP team.

● Act as a sourcing agent, mediator, negotiator, and SOW author on behalf of the client’s SOW business owners project buyer’s behalf to support the client’s competitive bidding process(es). You will operate as an extension of the clients procurement team and be fully aligned to their prevailing category and supplier strategies.

● Process all procurement requisition activity through the use of a Vendor Management System (VMS) and any related procurement technologies which may be specific to an individual client program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for both mechanical and electrical materials, components, and services.
  • Manage procurement processes across domestic and international markets to ensure cost optimization and supply chain efficiency.
  • Identify, evaluate, and build strong relationships with global and local vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the best commercial and technical value.
  • Ensure procurement aligns with project requirements, technical specifications, and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery timelines, and pricing.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and introduce cost-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain procurement documentation, compliance records, and reporting for management.

Requirements

  • Location: Based in Mumbai (with flexibility for vendor/site visits and international coordination).
  • Experience: 712 years of proven procurement experience, with exposure to both mechanical and electrical categories.
  • Strong track record in global procurement and vendor management.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Needs to be a PRO at Excel be good at Vlookup, Macros & Pivot Tables
  • Knowledge of supply chain best practices, contract laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management

Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw materials, herbal ingredients, packaging materials, and medical equipment.

Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and credit cycles while ensuring quality and compliance.

  • Purchase Planning & Forecasting

Coordinate with inventory, production, and clinic teams to align procurement schedules with demand forecasts.

Maintain buffer stock to avoid shortages while minimizing holding costs.

  • Quality & Compliance

Ensure all materials meet internal quality standards and FSSAI/AYUSH regulations (where applicable).

  • Operational Coordination

Liaise with accounts for timely payment processing and vendor reconciliation.

Ensure timely inward of GRNs and manage delivery follow-ups across clinics and manufacturing units.

  • Cost Optimization

Continuously explore cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.

Drive initiatives like alternate vendor development and long-term pricing agreements.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.

  • 36 years of procurement experience, preferably in healthcare, wellness, FMCG, or Ayurveda-based companies.

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, and inventory management systems.

  • High accountability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Experience in managing Ayurvedic/raw herb suppliers is a strong plus.
