Purpose of the role

This is an exciting time to work in General Mills' Supply Chain & ITQ Organization! We are accelerating the Digital Transformation of our Product Information Capabilities (PIC) to provide a competitive advantage to our business. To this end, we are looking for a D&T Manager with passion for Product Information Management (PIM) and Master Data Management (MDM) to join our Product Information Capabilities team.

This role will play the critical role of linking business objectives to core technological capabilities. This role will be responsible for partnering with Business to identify the opportunities, write a business case, develop solution plans, and be accountable for the delivery. This role will also oversee the work of members who are working to deliver PIC capabilities for all GMI Segments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Collaborate with Product Owner & D&T Solution Managers to shape the end-to-end product strategy and determine business value along the Product Information Management and MDM space
  • Drive portfolio/Product development from conception to launch.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and establish best practices that can be applied along PIM/MDM
  • Ensure best practices and standards are being followed, and the solution is aligned with a global vision of the Product Information capabilities team
  • Participate in PIM/MDM architecture discussions, and ensure driving of the architecture decisions along the work streams
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communication
  • Leadership, people management, and development of a highly talented D&T team
  • Prioritize and manage work and secure appropriate talent
  • Use external perspective and internal relationships to improve how we work and what we deliver.
  • Engage with businesses for their internal systems, processes, documentation, and identify/execute opportunities like automations, redundancy, modernization, usage of latest tech stack, and low-code no-code platforms.

  • MINUMUM QUALIFICATION

  • Education – Full time graduation from an accredited university

  • Exposure to GDSN Standards

    Purpose of the role

    This is an exciting time to work in General Mills' Supply Chain & ITQ Organization! We are accelerating Digital Transformation of our Product Information Capabilities (PIC) capabilities to provide a competitive advantage to our business. To this end, we are looking for a D&T Associate Analyst, with passion for Product Information Management (PIM) and (Master Data Management) MDM to join our Product Information Capabilities team.

    The PIM / MDM Engineering team requires agile team members who can support ecommerce by creating the systems of records and developing rightful integrations which would help in sourcing, validating, publishing, and quality checking the data that our customers use to create the digital shelf and our product’s detail pages. This would need a team which is well versed with managing Product Master Data. The vision is to expand the platform further to benefit other business areas

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    · Collaborate with Product Owner & D&T Solution Managers to shape the end-to-end product strategy and determine business value along the Product Information Management and MDM space

    · Play an active role in portfolio/Product development from conception to launch.

    · Identify opportunities for process improvements and establish best practices which can be applied along PIM/MDM

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience of implementing PIM, MDM having integration with platforms like ERP (preferably SAP), Artwork tools, Data syndication tools like Syndigo, Informatica etc.

    Purpose of the role

    This is an exciting time to work in General Mills' Supply Chain & ITQ Organization! We are accelerating Digital Transformation of our Product Information Capabilities (PIC) capabilities to provide a competitive advantage to our business. To this end, we are looking for a D&T Associate Analyst, with passion for Product Information Management (PIM) and (Master Data Management) MDM to join our Product Information Capabilities team.

    The PIM / MDM Engineering team requires agile team members who can support ecommerce by creating the systems of records and developing rightful integrations which would help in sourcing, validating, publishing, and quality checking the data that our customers use to create the digital shelf and our product’s detail pages. This would need a team which is well versed with managing Product Master Data. The vision is to expand the platform further to benefit other business areas

     KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    · Onboarding of Product information - Manage or support the processes which collect, groom, publish, validate, audit and assure quality product data for our customers

    · Engage with internal customer teams and/or ecommerce teams on product information support

    · Support RTL and the aligned processes

    · Establish, monitor and report on KPIs around PIM and MDM

    The primary focus of this role is to support and work with platform managers in developing the necessary requirements and clarity to drive new digital customer solutions into the market. 

    The Product Information Management (PIM) Analyst supports omnichannel PIM processes and serves as a central point of contact for system users, digital product/platform managers, and business stakeholders. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of product information across all digital channels.

    Principle Duties/Responsibilities :

    Support Ongoing Initiatives:

    ·Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to onboard new divisions and products into PIM.

    ·Develop relationships with divisional and business unit subject matter experts and product content specialists (PCS).

    ·Coordinate with stakeholders to define and expand data models and attribution for new products and acquisitions.

    ·Work with PCS to expand product and classification hierarchies to reflect NPIs, business acquisitions, and divisional consolidations.

    ·Support ideation, development, and training elements of digital service solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders in alignment with business objectives.

    ·Support cross-functional projects in partnership with Digital Product and Platform Owners, DS/IT, Finance, and customer operations centers to refine broad concepts and customer requirements into structured IT requirements that enable execution.

    Support PIM System Users:

    ·Manage governance operational processes, including Service Desk requests.

    ·Implement governance requests to support the OneAgilent omnichannel data model.

    ·Coordinate cross-functional tasks with content strategists and information architects to improve customer experience.

    ·Empower the localization team to operationalize translation processes.

    ·Drive continuous initiatives to improve the operational efficiency of PIM.

    ·Participate in Digital Channel projects to expand the PIM footprint for enhanced omnichannel experiences.

    ·Translate VOC (Voice of Customer) into actionable insights and partner with the digital portfolio manager to develop a long-term digital service product roadmap in collaboration and alignment with Product Marketing and other key stakeholders.

    Create and Deliver User Documentation and Training:

    ·Develop and manage user documentation, including operational and governance process flows and user playbooks.

    ·Onboard and train new PIM users.

    ·Create self-serve help tools, such as reference videos and FAQs, to support stakeholders.

    ·Collaborate with Digital Product Adoption teams to provide technical aspects of training on new solutions and define key metrics and dashboards to track KPIs.

    Support Data Modeling, Standardization, Cleanup, and Migration/Conversion:

    ·Work with data stewards and PCS to monitor data integrity.

    ·Support future onboarding of data into PIM to support eCommerce, self-serve, business intelligence, other business systems, and external customer/distributor needs.

    ·Conduct market research, experimentation, customer co-design, and competitive analysis to gain in-depth market intelligence when needed.

    ·Translate customer feature requirements and capture them into Agilent’s IT technical documents for IT to scope out projects.

    Create and Maintain Import/Export Data Feeds and Reporting:

    ·Manage import and export configurations to support bulk data updates and system integrations.

    ·Manage export configurations to support distributor/partner/channel requirements (, eCatalogs, China commerce).

    ·Generate system reports to support business requirements.

    ·Be accountable for tracking and delivering projects on-time and on-budget.

    ·Own test strategy and coordination of cross-functional teams for digital solution testing and business sign-off.

    ·Recommend enhancements for existing functionalities to improve ease of use for customers.

    Qualifications

    ·BS/MS degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.

    ·Overall, at least 8 years of experience.

    ·5+ years of experience in PIM, data management, or a related role.

    ·Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality principles.

    ·Experience with PIM systems and tools.

    ·Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    ·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    ·Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

    ·Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.

    **Product Information Copywriting**:

    - Using the schedule, base level product information, keyword sand robust guidelines supplied to you, fully immerse yourself in each title to write the Product Information that is required to enable Packt to sell the title in all channels prior to publication.
    - Ask appropriate questions of the Publishing Product Managers and Publishing teams to ensure that you fully understand the title and the target audience before you write.
    - Ensure that you conduct rigorous editing and proofreading of your Product Information, and that of your team members when requested.
    - Take on board the feedback you receive on the title PI from Publishing Product Managers and Publishing teams and make appropriate changes to the copy to accommodate these changes.
    - As and when necessary (determined by your schedule) conduct rewrites of currently published titles to optimise the Product Information in an attempt to drive better discoverability and revenue.

    **Product Information Copy Optimisation Research**
    - Conduct regular desktop research to identify potential enhancements and optimisations to Product Information that are new or haven’t been considered by Packt
    - Submit these to your line manager for consideration for testing and implementation if successful.

    **Channel, India, and Partner Copywriting Support**
    - Work collaboratively with Publishing Marketing, Amazon Marketing, Content and Product teams to create copy to support channel marketing campaigns and collateral, product collateral and author engagement initiatives.
    - Work on A+ content alongside the Publishing teams to further improve sales of key titles
    - Work to the briefs and timescales provided to you in your schedule to ensure that deadlines are met. Provide all amends requested in a timely manner.
