What you'll do
You'll work closely with the core team on both new product launches and improving our current best-sellers. Expect your hands in design reviews, RCA calls, vendor meets, and lab tests.
New product development:
- Collaborate with designers, researchers, and subject matter experts to understand technologies in water & purification technologies & trends to ideate new innovations in filtration technologies, filters, circuitry and more
- Work with the team, manufacturers, vendors to develop rapid prototypes, test them in internal and external laboratories while iterating regularly with improvements
- Collaborate to create test plans, procedures and SOPs to ensure highest level of product quality and reliability
- You'll work closely with the core team of Native along with our partners in manufacturing, prototyping, and testing
Current product improvements:
- Collaborate with Native customer experience teams, delivery & installation teams, and production teams to identify product quality issues
- Review and verify RCAs (root cause analysis) for product quality issues related to any part or component
- Review existing product designs to identify areas for improvement and collaborate with designers, subject matter experts, manufacturers and vendors to implement the solutions
- Handle any tasks required to achieve product development goals
We are looking for:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree from IIT, BITS, NIT and other top engineering colleges
- 0-3 years of professional experience in new-age hardware product companies from industries such as Electric Vehicles, Consumer appliances, Wearables, Energy, etc.
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electronic components
- Proven track record of problem solving and managing end-to-end product lifecycle, including mechanical parts development, component sourcing, prototyping and manufacturing
- Familiarity with materials and manufacturing, assembly line processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools for stress, thermal, and tolerance tests is a plus.

- Skilled in product development techniques DFSS, DFMEA, DVVP etc.
Beneficial Skills:
- Experience in conducting simulations/testing and connect analysis to product performance and design rules.
- 3D modeling experience (PTC CREO preferred, but not mandatory)
- Previous experiences from working in fields like Research and Development/or Application Engineering /or Bearing Development /or Manufacturing is a beneficial, but not mandatory.
- Material and Heat Treatment expertise

- Master/ bachelor's degree in the Mechanical Engineering field
- Industrial knowledge on applications and segments such as Off highway, Drive lines, Railways heavy industry – cement, mining and etc.
- 5-10 years, in Product development role with OEM's
