About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Production Manager with over 15 years of expertise in industrial machinery manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, safety, and timely delivery. This role requires strong technical knowledge in machining and fabrication processes, as well as proven leadership in managing large teams and complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production activities including CNC machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly operations.
- Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and resource allocation using ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards, precision tolerances, and rigorous testing methods.
- Monitor machinery performance, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and minimize downtime.
- Enforce Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards across the plant.
- Supervise and mentor engineers, operators, and technical staff to achieve production targets.
- Collaborate with design, procurement, and senior management teams to align production with business goals.
- Conduct root cause analysis for breakdowns and quality defects;
implement corrective actions. - Control costs, optimize resource utilization, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and present production reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering (master’s preferred).
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma / PMP is an added advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of proven experience in production management within industrial machinery or heavy engineering industry.
