Position: General Manager / Deputy General Manager Operations (Knits Garments Factory)

Role: Plant Head / Factory Head

Location: Karnataka

Experience: 15+ Years

Qualification: Graduation in Apparel/Fashion/Textile or related fields


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall factory production and operations for the smooth functioning of the plant.
  • To ensure the achievement of production targets for the plant within the cost, time, and quality norms.
  • To ensure coordination amongst various areas of production, technical, quality, etc.
  • Follow up on production plan from cutting to sewing and achieving targeted line efficiency.
  • Make sure product quality is in accordance with standards laid down by the buyer.
  • To provide manufacturing expertise to the Production team and ensure implementation of cost reduction/efficiency improvement through process changes/improvements
  • To ensure timely preparation of production plans in line with the available capacity and marketing requirements.
  • To ensure proper upkeep of the manufacturing facility to achieve machine availability and efficiency utilization norms.
  • To ensure regular monitoring of the performance of all departments.
  • Ensure proper utilization of manpower and good employee relations.
  • To provide performance review and information to the VP - Operations/COO on regular basis by ensuring the proper and timely generation of all management information reports.
  • To develop and implement strategies for further expansion, increase productivity manpower management, and organization structures.

  • Should have worked in Apparel Manufacturing Industry.

Overview of the Role

The Lead Video Production Manager will oversee the end-to-end execution of video production projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and at the highest creative standards. This role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage complex projects across multiple time zones. You will act as the primary production point of contact for internal teams, creative leads, and vendors while driving operational efficiency and scalability in production workflows.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage the full video production lifecycle from intake and planning to filming and post-production delivery.
  2. Coordinate with stakeholders, creative teams, and vendors to align objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  3. Oversee pre-production activities, scheduling, resource planning, and risk management.
  4. Monitor production schedules to ensure alignment with budget, quality, and creative vision.
  5. Manage vendor relationships globally, including onboarding, contracting, and performance tracking.
  6. Ensure all outputs comply with brand and partner institution guidelines.
  7. Track and report production budgets in collaboration with Finance.
  8. Identify bottlenecks, implement best practices, and develop scalable production processes.
  9. Represent production in cross-functional meetings, providing clarity and structure.
  10. Ensure compliance with safety protocols for all physical shoots.
  11. Travel domestically and internationally for on-location shoots when required.
  12. Manage IP permissions and third-party content licensing.


Required Qualifications/Skills

  • 4–6 years of experience in video production management or equivalent roles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous productions across global teams.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable working across cultures.
  • Expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work 1 PM – 11 PM IST to ensure global team overlap.
