Job Description:-

Effectively supervising Manual Insertion, FG Production and Testing Line Production

• Leading the management of SMT Line, PCB, and Unit Assembly line of Production

• Collaborating with the Planning Team to execute Daily, Weekly, and monthly material

planning, achieving MPP targets

• Resolving daily challenges through SIM-1, SIM-2, SIM-3, and SIM-5

• Leading SIM-3 and SIM-5 alongside HODs from MFG, Test Engineering, Warehouse,

Facilities, Planning, Procurement, Safety, and HR

• Conducting productive Production meetings to address productivity, efficiency, and

Quality concerns

• Coordinating the day-to-day operations across Manufacturing inter-department

• Spearheading KE projects and improvement project activities in coordination with

Support groups

• Actively managing ECO documentation and implementation control

• Reviewing and recommending enhancements for existing inter-Department procedures

• Consistently monitoring and controlling Non-Quality costs through corrective measures

with the support of SRT Tool

• Taking corrective actions through projects to address customer complaints

• Proactively implementing and maintaining the SPS systems

• Ensuring ongoing monitoring and improvement of all production KPIs

• Driving manpower planning for the plant and implementing multi-skilling for the

workforce

• Continuously monitoring and refining daily production planning based on OTDM

requirements and BOL

• Actively driving projects to overcome Repeated Barriers hindering the achievement of

KPIs

About the Role: The Production Engineer will be responsible for driving efficiency within the production process through time studies, elimination of non-value-added (NVA) activities, and the integration of tools and machinery to optimize lead times. The role requires close collaboration with the Industrial Engineering (IE) team to ensure smooth operations and consistent productivity improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed time studies to analyze current production processes.
• Identify and reduce non-value-added (NVA) activities by introducing suitable tools and techniques.
• Implement solutions to reduce lead time by adding and optimizing machinery.
• Work collaboratively with the Industrial Engineering team to improve process efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure best practices in production engineering.

Desired Skills & Competencies

• Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience working with an Industrial Engineering (IE) team or as a Mechanical Engineer .
• BE in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of production processes, tools, and machinery.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring production as per plan.
• Responsible for managing the resources required for a production such as manpower, machinery, materials, and finances.
• Monitor the production progress to ensure that the production is on schedule and to make any necessary adjustments to ensure the timely completion of the project.
• Ensure that the production process is meeting the quality standards set by the company. This involves conducting regular inspections and tests to ensure that the products meet the required standards.
• Responsible for ensuring that the production processes are safe for the workers and the environment. They must enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize accidents and injuries in the workplace.
• Responsible to Manage the inventory levels of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods to ensure that the production process is not interrupted by a shortage of materials.

Desired Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field
• A minimum of 3 to 15 years of experience in fright car business and wagon manufacturing business
• Proficiency in computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Knowledge of production processes and procedures, including welding, assembly, and testing
