About the Function:


Projects & Engineering function manages capital investments for expansion of DS and DP manufacturing facilities globally that are either greenfield or brownfield. With a team of about 50 and split into various verticals including Process Engineering, Automation and Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, Project Management, Commercial, Civil, and Site execution.

DataLabs is looking for an experienced Project Manager who can help provide oversight to a wide ranging portfolio through set-up and management of action cycles and milestones; identify synergies and trade-offs; negotiate priorities with India-based and global leaders; and identify risks and mitigants. The role requires a high degree of detail-orientation, and strong leadership, quantitative and communication skills. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams autonomously to prepare detailed plans for projects, determine resource allocation, deliverable timelines, and possible issues, while developing deep business acumen
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and consultants, conduct internal meetings, and streamline the overall workflow ensuring timely project deliverables
  • Able to perform analysis in a proactive and detail oriented manner where required to understand the root cause of the challenges, risks and issues
  • Develop metrics and mechanisms to improve efficiencies and customer experience by identifying roadblocks and proposing process improvements
  • Produce business insights and action based on the recommendations
  • Create and maintain project documentation, status reports including timelines, resource plans, and meeting minutes
  • Manage organizational processes related to Command Center, Associate Development and others
  • Develop relationships and influence across the organisation and levels while maintaining independence of the function
  • Demonstrate extreme focus on continuous improvement by identifying best practices from a specific area and developing playbooks of repeatable frameworks and solutions
  • Support business leaders in product marketing and branding initiatives

Job Description

The purpose of this position is to plan, execute and lead deliverables of customer project in component engineering to meet identified requirements and deliver necessary work packages within agreed parameters of quality, cost and timeline

  • Estimate and plan component level projects cost, resources. Identify &manage project risks, develop contingency plans.
  • Review project progress, identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Lead and drive Engineering Product Quality & Preventive Quality management processes by using Bosch Engineering System & problem solving techniques.
  • Assess the technical evaluation of design changes and provide technical consultation to customer teams & Discuss with international development network and plants.
  • Engineering support for SM5.3 and DM3.x manufacturing line relocation to India.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial and Automotive)* PMP certification (desirable)

Experience: 2 -5 years of minimum experience in Project management related to IC engine components
