Our client, a pioneering force in the aerospace industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Aerospace Engineer specializing in Aerodynamics. This challenging role is based in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, IN , and involves a hybrid work arrangement, offering a dynamic balance between on-site collaboration and remote research. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in aerodynamic analysis, design, and testing, contributing to the development of next-generation aircraft and space systems.

As a Senior Aerospace Engineer, you will lead complex aerodynamic projects, from conceptual design through to flight testing. Your responsibilities will include performing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations, conducting wind tunnel testing, and analyzing flight test data to optimize aircraft performance. You will develop aerodynamic concepts, assess their feasibility, and provide technical guidance to design teams. A deep understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and aircraft performance is essential. The ability to mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical documentation, and present findings to stakeholders will be critical. Familiarity with industry-standard aerodynamic modeling and simulation software is a must.

This hybrid role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead aerodynamic design and analysis for new aircraft and spacecraft programs.
  • Conduct advanced CFD simulations and interpret results to optimize aerodynamic performance.
  • Plan and oversee wind tunnel testing campaigns and analyze experimental data.
  • Develop and validate aerodynamic models and performance prediction tools.
  • Collaborate with structural, propulsion, and control system engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and design reviews for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical development of the aerodynamics team.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in aerodynamic theory and technology.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in Aerodynamics.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in aerospace aerodynamics.
  • Proven expertise in CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+) and aerodynamic design tools.
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, compressible flow, and aircraft stability and control.
  • Experience with wind tunnel testing and data acquisition systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a hybrid setting.
