Job Role: QA Manager

Key Responsibilities :

· Ensure full compliance with FSSAI regulations and other relevant food safety and quality standards

· Review existing policies and make suggestions for changes and improvements, and how to implement them.

· Overseeing product development procedures to identify any deviations from quality standards.

· Documentation & implementation of FSMS (ISO 22000:2018/FSSC 22000) requirements to ensure audit compliance.

· Identify & implement new initiatives to improve Quality & Food safety systems in the company pan India.

· Carrying out supplier, warehouse and store audits on a defined frequency.

· Monitor and enforce proper sanitation and housekeeping procedures in stores.

· Basic and Advanced training on food safety for all partners.

· Analysis of customer complaints with detailed root cause analysis and corrective action.

· Ensure Microbiological and chemical analysis is carried out per FSSAI guidelines for all raw materials and finished products.

· Upgrade the system and business standards as per ISO and FSSAI requirements.

· Monthly QA report to the management on the performance of the QA standards.

· Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements.

REQUIREMENT:

· Should be a science graduate or postgraduate in food science or a microbiologist.

· Minimum 5 years of experience.

· Sound knowledge & understanding of food safety, Legal Metrology, FSSAI & Codex.

· FOSTAC – In Catering/Retail/Manufacturing

· Proficient in MS Office.

· Certified Internal Auditor (HACCP/ISO/FSSC/BRC).

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Should have in depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO14001, & ISO 45001 standards. Certified Internal auditor / Lead Auditor will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
• Knowledge about manufacturing processes / work experience in chemical etching process , electroplating , mechanical stamping, furnace operations etc.
• Should have detailed knowledge on process validation , feasibility study and part qualification methods. Collaborate with CFT to support new part development , process improvement, and risk management.
• Sound knowledge of risk assessments, PRD, CP, FMEA, and RCA (5 Why, 8D problem solving, Fishbone Diagram, and Pareto Analysis).
• Ability to perform and interpret tolerance analysis , SPC & measurement system evaluations .
• Lead a Team of 10-15 quality technicians and 3-5 quality engineers
• Train and mentor IQC & IPQC teams and promote quality culture and continuous improvement .
• Documentation – Creating and maintaining quality documentation, standardization and creating and developing quality business processes and systems
• Monitor quality KPIs , analyze trends, and report findings to the reporting manager. Take appropriate corrective actions on time to prevent recurrence.
• Responsible for conducting Inhouse QMS & Process Audits periodically as per the schedule. Lead and coordinate internal and external audits (supplier) , ensuring timely closure of non-conformities.
• Oversee calibration and validation of equipment, including master gauges, ensuring traceability and accuracy.
• Manage internal / external customer complaints , conduct a detailed root cause analysis , and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) on time.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS office, ERP/MES systems , quality management software, data analysis.
• Understanding of industry specific regulatory standards and safety requirements (e.g., ISO, CE, UL, RoHS, REACH), is an added advantage.

Education and Experience required :

Engineering in Chemical, Mechanical discipline is required.

6-10 yrs of experience in a Quality assurance role is desired.

Candidates from Renewable Energy, Mechanical stamping, Chemical etching or Manufacturing industry is preferred.

Outcomes and Accomplishments

As an Assistant Manager, you are required to:

• Directly responsible for 2 to 3 Team Leads who will internal see 25 to 30 editors
• Ensure implementation of quality producers. This includes roll out of new procedures, keeping the team updated on client specifications
• Collaborate with other departments regarding policies and procedures
• Involvement in QA research and feedback. Channeling internally and externally through:

-timely follow-up with individuals or/ and the team to ensure the issue at hand is fully addressed and understood

-Suggest corrective and preventive actions.

-Analyzing error trends and using the data to ensure the targeted group has received the required refresher/training

-To improve the overall quality of deliverables by the team and come up with initiatives that increase overall quality and productivity

• Identify areas of improvement in team by:

-Regularly review and analyze error trends and other quality issues and implement corrective and preventive solutions

-Regularly review the QC procedures they are up to date

-Improve efficiency

-Encourage and implement automation

• Ensure the team is updated on the latest software updates and collaborate with the Process Lead/SME to suggest improvements
• Represent the QC team in relevant meetings and calls
• Team metrics and data organization:

-To maintain the teams’ metrics and present them at monthly performance reviews

-Ensure this data is used to display current performance and to ensure adequate capacity for projected volumes

-To share this data with team management and the team to improve overall performance

• Training and Documentation: Work with trainers and documentation representatives and management:

-Organize the training plan for new recruits

-Schedule refresher training for the team

-Ensure all QC documentations are up to date

-Assess documents on a quarterly basis to ensure they are in accordance with Deluxe, client and department expectation

• Enforcement:

-Ensure all relevant trackers are accurately updated by the team

-Ensure that Team Leads are accurate and prompt with their task

-To also ensure that established procedures are followed by the team and enforced regularly by the Team Leads

• Be involved in business continuity and succession planning, ensuring the next generation of leaders are well groomed, think and act in the desire fashion:

-To chart out team members’ growth in the company, along with Team Leads and managers, and plan for future growth and numbers, promotions, etc, and groom them in accordance with this plan

-Work with senior employees individually, if possible, on projects that can bring out their strengths and allow them to develop

-Monitor how Team Leads plan their tasks and provide guidance on delegation of tasks and grooming, when required

Job Description:

• Oversee and manage QC activities for finished dosage formulations, raw materials, in-process, and stability samples.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, GLP, and regulatory guidelines (USFDA, EUGMP, etc.) in all QC operations.
