About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QC Manager to oversee quality control operations in our Polyester Staple Fibre (PSF) manufacturing unit. The role involves managing testing, inspection, and compliance processes to ensure product quality meets customer requirements, ISO standards, and industry specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the QC department including lab staff, inspectors, and quality analysts.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures for PSF production.
- Oversee testing of denier, cut length, tenacity, elongation, moisture, crimp, and other fibre parameters.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, environmental, and safety standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure consistent quality output.
- Maintain and review QC documentation, lab records, and reports.
- Train and guide QC staff on quality best practices, lab testing methods, and inspection protocols.
- Coordinate internal and external audits (ISO, customer audits, etc.).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 6–10 years of experience in quality control/quality assurance in PSF or fibre manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of fibre testing standards (ASTM, BIS, ISO) and lab equipment.
- Hands-on experience with quality management systems (QMS), statistical process control, and reporting.
