Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Quality Control function for raw materials, in-process, and final inspections
• Implement quality procedures, standards, and inspection protocols
• Optimize testing requirements to balance quality and cost
• Develop inspection checklists as per customer drawings and technical norms
• Monitor production quality and guide immediate corrective actions
• Coordinate third-party inspections and client audits
• Maintain ISO 9001 and customer-specific documentation
• Conduct RCA and CAPA for non-conformities
• Ensure timely calibration of all measuring tools and instruments
• Train QC team members and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Production, Purchase)

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of fabrication, welding standards, and pressure testing (Hydro / Pneumatic)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use precision instruments
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 documentation and quality systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and process discipline
• Hands-on with MTCs, QC reports, and third-party documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in chemical equipment manufacturing
• Familiarity with ASME, IBR, TEMA standards
• Certifications in QA/QC or NDT Level II (preferred but not mandatory)

1. Overall control on SOP of SMS Plant which includes preparation and implementation, Process control, improvisation and Stabilization

2. Carrying out root cause analysis of internal and external complaints to implement suitable corrective and preventive actions by modifying SOPs.

3. Resource planning man machine and material.

4. Manpower planning and development.

• Establish, monitor, and update quality assurance procedures, protocols, and standards for steel production processes.
• Ensure compliance with national and international quality standards, industry regulations, and customer specifications.
• Implement effective strategies for continual improvement, defect reduction, and process optimization.
• Oversee the inspection and testing of raw materials, intermediate products, and finished products in SMS, Rolling Mill, and Bright Bar processes.
• Analyze production processes and identify potential quality issues to ensure high-quality output at every stage of production.
• Review and approve inspection reports, test results, and product certifications.
• Ensure that all products meet the necessary mechanical properties, surface finish, and other specifications for each type of steel product.

Qualification and Experience:

M. Sc (Organic / Analytical Chemistry) / B. Pharm with 2 - 6 years of Experience as an analyst in the Pharmaceuticals / API industry. GMP & GLP knowledge

Job overview:

Responsibilities:

Performing timely sampling and analysis of raw material, bulk product, intermediates, finished goods, and other samples.

Performing analysis of Stability, process validation samples, and Cleaning Validation.

Handling of sophisticated laboratory instruments viz., HPLC, GC, UV & IR spectrophotometer, Dissolution tester, auto-titrator, polarimeter, etc.

Performing calibration & maintenance of the lab. Equipment and assistance for the qualification of laboratory equipment.

Knowledge on the preparation of SOPs and Formats and Analytical Test records.

Managing reference standards, working standards, laboratory reagents & chemicals.

Arranging and observing Control Samples and maintaining the record.

Participating in the Investigation of out-of-specification results.

Maintaining laboratory raw data related to testing activity.

Performing Analytical Method validation, cleaning validation as per the protocol.

Coordinating with production and the warehouse for analytical activities

Compliance to HSE Requirements for QC laboratory.

Identifying and correcting unsafe conditions or behaviours, and promptly reporting other potentially hazardous situations.

Carrying out any other assignments or projects as per the instructions of the Department. Head to meet with the organizational objectives and priorities.
