The Quality Manager will lead the entire quality function, ensuring that all incoming raw materials, in-process production stages, and final finished goods comply with the organization’s quality standards, global furniture regulations, and customer expectations. The role demands strong technical expertise in leather, metal, and furniture manufacturing, strategic planning for quality improvements, and leadership in vendor and team development

Major responsibilities:
1. Incoming Material Quality Control
- Develop, implement, and enforce inspection criteria for all raw materials and bought-out components. Make a Quality check matrix for all different categories, defining acceptable & non-acceptable ranges
- Approve/reject incoming goods;
escalate non-conformities to vendors and ensure timely corrective action. - Conduct periodic vendor audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Purchase Department for vendor development and quality compliance. Set Purchase Parameter in PO for QC consideration
2. In-Line Quality Between Departments
- Establish quality checkpoints at each stage of production (cutting, welding, dyeing, assembly, polishing, upholstery, etc.).
- Ensure seamless quality handovers between departments to prevent defects from moving forward.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to resolve recurring quality issues through RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).
3. Final Product Quality Assurance
- Define and implement final inspection protocols before dispatch.
- Ensure products meet global furniture quality standards, customer specifications, and safety norms.
- Approve final release for shipment and manage quality-related documentation for clients.
4. Process Improvement & Policy Implementation
- Formulate and update quality policies in line with international regulations and market requirements.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce rework, scrap, and customer complaints.
- Introduce best practices in measurement, testing, and inspection methods.
5. Leadership & Training
- Lead, mentor, and train the Quality Control team to strengthen inspection capabilities.
- Guide production supervisors and line operators in quality awareness and defect prevention techniques.
- Conduct training on equipment handling, blueprint reading, and safety standards.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain complete records of inspections, test results, rejection reports, and performance trends.
- Present monthly and quarterly quality performance reports to the management and directors.
- Ensure traceability of all components and finished goods through robust documentation practices
Education
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications in Quality Management (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, etc.) preferred.
Experience
12–15 years in Furniture / Interior / Leather industries, precision manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
