About the Company
The School of Computing at MIT ADT University invites applications for the position of ‘Assistant Professor’ in Quantum Technology. We seek a dynamic, highly motivated, and accomplished individual to contribute to our rapidly expanding academic programs, cutting-edge research, and innovation in the field of Quantum Technology.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conduct impactful research, mentor students, and contribute to curriculum development.
Responsibilities
Teaching and Instruction:
- Design, prepare, and deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in various aspects of Quantum Technology, including Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Information Theory, Quantum Computing, Quantum Cryptography, and Quantum Communication.
- Develop new courses and update existing curriculum to align with the latest industry and research trends.
- Supervise student projects, dissertations, and internships.
Research and Development:
- Establish and maintain an active research agenda, securing external funding, publishing in top-tier peer-reviewed journals, and presenting at international conferences.
- Collaborate with faculty within the School of Computing and other departments to foster interdisciplinary research.
- Guide and mentor Ph.D. and MTech. research scholars.
Administrative and Academic Duties:
- Participate in departmental, school, and university committees.
- Contribute to student advising, recruitment, and outreach activities.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and faculty development programs related to Quantum Technology.
- Maintain professional development and keep up to date with advancements in the field.
Qualifications:-
Education:
- A Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Quantum Technology or a closely related, relevant field.
- SET / NET is preferable.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time teaching experience at the university / college level, at the Assistant Professor level, in Quantum Technology or Computing-related subjects.
Research Output:
- A strong record of research publications and/or successful grant proposals is highly desirable.
Required Skills
- Deep and comprehensive knowledge of the theoretical and practical foundations of Quantum Technology.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse student body.
- Proficiency in programming languages and tools relevant to quantum computing (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and institutional service.
