The Supplier PPAP Specialist plays a key role in executing Supplier Production Part Approval Process (SPPAP) deliverables for global Accelerated Product Development (APD) programs. This position ensures thorough validation of supplier components against Donaldson and customer specifications, supports on-time program launches, and ensures sustainable supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SPPAP Execution & Review

  • Manage end-to-end PPAP package creation, submission, and approval using Donaldson’s SPPAP software.
  • Ensure compliance with Donaldson drawings, supplier prints, specifications, Control Plans, PFMEAs, and ISO/IATF standards.
  • 2. Technical Collaboration

  • Coordinate daily with global Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs), Design Engineers, and suppliers.
  • Resolve drawing and process issues through redline reviews, tolerance stack-up analysis, and control of special characteristics.
  • 3. Documentation & Record Control

  • Maintain accurate and traceable PPAP records and master lists.
  • Comply with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and Donaldson’s document retention procedures.
  • 4. Process & Quality Tools Support

  • Provides guidance to suppliers on APQP, Control Plans, PFMEA linkage, MSA, and statistical capability.
  • Deliver first-pass reviews to reduce rework and improve submission quality.
  • 5. Continuous Improvement

  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to standard work development.
  • Support enhancements to the SPPAP system and associated training materials.
  • 6. Metrics & Reporting

  • Track PPAP status, cycle time, and first-pass approval rates.
  • Escalate potential risks to program timing or quality.
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.

    Experience:

    Minimum 5 years in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality Engineering roles with hands-on PPAP/APQP responsibilities.

    Technical Skills & Tools:

  • Solid understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
  • Experienced with Control Plans, PFMEAs, MSA, SPC, and capability studies.
  • Familiar with PPAP/SPPAP workflow software (e.g., Windchill & Minitab or equivalent).
  • Advanced skills in MS Office; familiarity with 3D CAD viewers and statistical tools is a plus.
  • Language Requirements:

  • Fluent in professional English (spoken and written).

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    Meril Life Sciences is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic fresh graduates to join our Research & Development team as R&D Officers. This is an entry-level position ideal for candidates passionate about medical technology and innovation. The role will involve hands-on support in the design, testing, and validation of advanced medical devices and frequent field travel to hospitals and clinical sites.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the development, testing, and validation of surgical robotics, medical devices and systems.
    • Travel to clinical sites and hospitals for worldwide.
    • - Anatomical and procedural data collection
    • - System testing, usability validation, and field feedback
    • - Supporting field deployment and technical troubleshooting
    • Work closely with R&D engineers, clinical experts, and regulatory teams to support cross-functional projects.
    • Document field findings, clinical insights, and validation reports in compliance with internal processes.
    • Contribute to innovation initiatives in surgical robotics and healthcare technologies.

    Educational Qualifications:

    • B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering.

    Key Skills and Competencies:

    • Basic understanding of human anatomy (mandatory)
    • Willingness to travel frequently for field assignments worldwide.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Good documentation and observation capabilities
    • Passion for healthcare innovation, medical devices, and surgical robotics
    • Self-driven with the ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment

    Preferred Attributes:

    • Interest in surgical robotics or diagnostic technologies
    • Exposure to clinical environments or internships in the healthcare domain (if any)

    • Lead complex change and transformation programs in alignment with business strategy.
    • Collaborate with the business for creation a high-performance culture by creating and implementing
    team and organizational design solutions, providing measurable performance indicators and
    improvement plans.
    • Stakeholder management and partnership to deliver business value at the highest level
    • Managing HR agile projects end to end, including coaching and leading other team members
    • Using Leadership and Talent development tools to drive organization and team performance
    • Lead Organization Design programs
    • Lead People & Capability Development to ensure the organization is always fit to compete in the

    Key Skills/ Experience:
    o Previous HR Business Partnering experience is desired.
