ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform financial and valuation analyses of prospective transactions and existing real estate portfolio.
· Prepare deal related materials such as Investment Teasers, Investment Memorandums, pitches, business plans and feasibility studies, detailed cash flow projections, IRR calculations and financial modelling, research related to the industry and economy etc.
· Work closely with internal / external teams to source, evaluate, execute & monitor transactions
· Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics impacting the real estate industry
· Balance conflicting resource and priority demands.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned including regulatory, administrative, enterprise development, compliances etc.
Knowledge of:
· advanced knowledge and experience of financial modelling, valuation principles, modelling tax & leverage
· Fundamental real estate concepts related to finance, principles and practices.
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
· MBA/CFA/CA

ABOUT LAFAYETTE
Founded in 2011, Lafayette is one of the pioneers in the Single-Family for Rent ("SFR") industry in the US. The firm pursues multiple investment strategies, including a tech-enabled one-by-one acquisition strategy to buy individual homes at scale, and a Build-for-Rent (“BFR”) strategy to buy and/or develop entire communities of newly built single-family homes. THE POSITION
Lafayette is currently looking for a Real Estate Asset Management Associate to work remotely out of India on a full-time basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Prepare weekly and monthly reporting packages on operational KPIs and full monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for internal leadership and investors using SQL and Excel
● Support the preparation of annual budgets for Lafayette’s investment funds and update forecasts based on actual performance
● Perform variance analysis, identifying key drivers behind budget-to-actual differences and generating actionable insights
● Assist with meeting annual audit obligations
● Automate reporting workflows using Excel, SQL, and VBA to improve accuracy and reduce manual processing time
● Support the capital markets team in preparing lender reporting packages and managing debt draws
QUALIFICATIONS
● 5+ years of experience in asset management or a related analytical field
● Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required; familiarity with SQL is preferred
● Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage recurring reporting processes, and analyze large, complex data sets
● Willingness to work New York business hours (Eastern hours)
