Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Logistics & Waste Management Engineer to join our team at Dar Al-Handasah. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of waste management and logistics systems and strategies across a wide range of international projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform waste generation calculations and equipment sizing.
• Prepare technical design reports and permitting documentation for waste management systems.
• Develop drawings and layouts for waste facilities using BIM (Revit) and CAD software.
• Conduct research on innovative technologies, systems, and sustainability practices.
• Design and size loading and service areas for complex facilities such as commercial buildings, hospitals, and airports.
• Develop logistics strategies including receiving, internal transport, storage, and distribution planning.
• Design both manual and automated warehouse storage systems.
• Design pneumatic waste collection system and pneumatic tube system.
• Healthcare waste management plans and treatment equipment.
• Coordinate with the wider team to integrate the waste and logistics equipment and requirements into the building design.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering field.
• Experience level 0-3 years
• Good proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Good time-management and organizational skills

Job Description :

• Collecting various scraps from different sources, segregate and stores in central Hazardous waste warehouse
• Proper spill management during waste movement and storage
• Ensure the Waste are stored as per 5S standard, SOPs along with adhering to the compatibility requirement.
• Interacting with vendors, transporters, SCM team, EHS team etc
• for timely disposal of waste
• Ensure required storage conditions are maintained in Warehouse
• Efficient distribution of manpower to segregate store and dispose the waste
• Co-Ordinating with various internal stake holders such as Production,
• SCM, EHS, QA etc to meet daily waste management requirements
• Train waste management team to ensure adherence to standard
• continuously looking for improvement opportunities in waste management
• in terms of Safety, cost, sustainability, efficiency etc
• Conduct and implement Risk assessment to avoid Inventory differences and any hazard related to waste management
• Daily inventory reconciliation of all types of scraps

• Managing and maintaining waste management equipment and vehicles.
