As a Rehabilitation Consultant, this opportunity will see you identify and address the critical physical, psychological, social, environmental and organisational risk factors which may have an impact on a worker's ability to successfully return to work. You will provide strategies to address these factors in practise.

• Complete return to work case management for injured workers under the WorkCover scheme.
• Provide holistic support to help restore an individual's highest level of functional performance through relevant assessments such as Initial Needs Assessment, Workplace Assessments and Vocational Assessments.
• Deliver Vocational Counselling and facilitate interventions, well-being programs, training and upskilling.

About the role

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy services to elite and developmental athletes.
• Lead and assist in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return-to-sport planning in alignment with performance goals.

Ideal Candidate

• Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (MPT – Sports or Musculoskeletal preferred).
• 2–3 years of relevant clinical experience, ideally within sports or high-performance environments.

• Proficient in manual therapy techniques including dry needling, cupping therapy, kinesio taping, and other hands-on interventions.

Desirable Skills (Preferred)

• Experience supporting teams or athletes during training camps or competitions, particularly in combat sports, track and field, or swimming.

Barriers to effective communication will regularly be evident, e.G. expressive and receptive dysphasia, loss of hearing, pain and fear, etc

- To provide specialist spontaneous and planned advice, teaching and instruction to relatives, care givers and other professionals, to promote understanding of aims of physiotherapy and to ensure a consistent approach to patient care.

- To communicate effectively and collaboratively with all health and social care sectors to ensure delivery of a co-ordinate service. This will include case conferences, joint sessions and documentation.

- To contribute to regular goal planning and ensure that information is shared/ communicated on a frequent basis.

- To deliver complex, sometimes unwelcome, concepts and ideas, to clients and care givers. This requires using high levels of communication skills with clients who may have severe cognitive and physical impairment or may be in a highly emotional state.
