Role Summary:
The Renewable Energy Analyst is responsible for overseeing the energy modelling and forecasting of energy generated by renewable assets (wind, solar, etc.). The role requires to identify the stakeholders for communication and coordination for the power dispatch activities (IPPs &Distribution Companies) to ensure compliance with regulatory mandates, entitlements, grid stability and consumer demands. The role must perform extensive research on the trend in renewable energy market across globe with clear understanding on the stakeholders in green power procurement and supply.
Key Tasks & Accountability:
Energy modelling & Forecasting :
- Develop accurate energy generation forecasts based on weather data, historical trends, and plant capacity utilization.
- Energy modelling from the renewable energy assets (solar, wind, etc).
- Research on the renewable market trends across the globe, specifically Japan & US.
Entitlement & Compliance :
- Extensive research on the identification of stake holders and the process in renewable energy power purchase and supply to the end consumers.
- Gain good idea on the changing policy and regulatory framework of the renewable energy sector across globe, specifically Japan & US
Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in renewable energy sector
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, entitlements, grid codes, and PPAs related to renewable energy.
- Familiarity with communication protocols and coordination processes with renewable power producers and consumers.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools/software used for forecasting and scheduling.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle real-time operational challenges.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ renewable energy engineering, Energy Management, or a related field; Master's preferred.
Personal Attributes:
- A team player with good interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
