**Sr Associate IS Bus Sys Analyst**

As a Business Analyst, you will lead and coordinate the planning and execution of monthly maintenance windows across seven global research sites, in collaboration with RBS (Research Business Services), SCCM experts, and cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, developing configuration plans, documenting procedures, and ensuring timely issue resolution.
A key aspect of the role involves vulnerability analysis and remediation planning. You will review system vulnerabilities, evaluate potential solutions, and contribute to the development and testing plans to reduce risk across our lab compute environment. Clear documentation and methodical execution will be essential for success.
You will also contribute to strategic projects, such as our enterprise-wide upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 as one example. Ensure business needs are translated into actionable technical requirements. This includes working with developers, product owners, and technical leads to gather user stories, build process maps, define test cases, and support project implementation.
Additionally, you will partner with our development team to support Business Analyst activities for broader research technology initiatives-helping align technical capabilities with the evolving needs of the Amgen Research community.
**Roles & Responsibilities:**
+ Function as a Business Analyst within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) product team.
+ Serve as a liaison between global Research Informatics functional areas and global research scientists, prioritizing their needs and expectations.
+ Partner with development and product teams to gather and document technical requirements.
+ Contribute to cross-functional projects such as OS upgrades and lab systems enhancements.
+ Lead planning and coordination of global maintenance windows for lab compute infrastructure.

- Postdoctoral experience or 3-5 years of research experience in a relevant laboratory setting.
- Proven experience with techniques such as PCR, qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, cell culture, and gene sequencing.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and data analysis software is a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate scientific concepts.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research team environment.
- Commitment to adhering to scientific rigor and ethical research practices.
- Experience in areas like CRISPR technology, single-cell analysis, or advanced imaging is a plus.
