RIGGING FOR VFX
PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
This course offers a 15-week comprehensive journey into rigging for visual effects,
blending theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice.
Students begin with an introduction to rigging tools and transformations, mastering
basic concepts like naming conventions and parent-child relationships. They
progress to advanced topics such as set-driven keys, attribute editing, and
constraints, gaining proficiency in precise object control and animation.
Practical activities, including boat animation and object attachment, provide realworld
application of learned techniques. With expert guidance from Technicolor
instructors, students refine their skills in skeleton layout, skinning, and final asset

Ability to optimize resources (manpower, equipment and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of the project.
Ability to read, interpret and follow procedures. Competent in reading and understanding specifications, drawings, and all other discipline related project and engineering documentation.
Specifies locations for movement of machinery using knowledge of various methods of sliding and lifting equipment.
Familiar with and enforces strict compliance with all Safety procedures, including all Company rules and regulations
The rigging engineer shall be responsible for all the maintenance and repair of Equipment

Overview of the role
Nyrstar Port Pirie is seeking a skilled Rigger/Crane Operator to become an integral part of our Asset Management Department. This is more than a job; it's a chance to ensure the safety and efficiency of our site operations.

The successful candidate will operate within an on-call roster to service the site out-of-hours requirements. This position directly reports to the Crane and Rigging Team Leader.
This is a residential role, based in Port Pirie, South Australia working on the 5/4 roster days only. This is an equal time dayshift only roster of 4 days on, 5 days off, 5 days on, 4 days off, 5 days on, 5 days off. This provides a great balance between work and play, with more days off than the usual two day weekend. # Project Overview:
Bechtel is seeking to expand its decades long relationship with Reliance by providing Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi-billion-dollar upgrade / expansion of existing petrochemical facilities in India. Reliance plans to augment its existing petrochemical facilities in Dahej, Gujarat, and Nagothane, Maharashtra, to expand its PVC capacity. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel's India offices.This positions will be based in Nagothane.
# Job Summary:
Responsible for the organization and activities relating to construction engineering, subcontracts, and engineering liaison to the design functional group. Interprets design drawings and specifications. Supervises field verification of materials. Provides technical direction to contractors in construction engineering and design functions relating to rigging engineering in an area of the project.

Education:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (3 years) or equivalent
Experience:
08-15 years of experience in Oil and gas Industry and related certifications shall be provided
Scope of Work:
o To be carried out all type of Rigging, Lifting, shifting, Loading, off-loading and Jacking & sliding at all related units area of Refinery as advised by the Heavy Equipment’s Supervisor and as per the
site requirements.
o To be ensured to do site visit and to prepare risk assessment, Method statement and responsible
for to select right tools and tackles to meet as per the standards and procedures.
Summary of Major Duties and Responsibilities
o It’s a supervisor responsibility to be ensured safe Rigging and Lifting activities in Oil and Gas
industries, to be executed according to QatarEnergy Lifting Equipment Standards and Procedures.
o To be able good written and verbal communication skills, ability to give clear direction to support
staff and field personnel to understand the risk.
o To be able to do the site visit and to be explored and find out the risk provide the assessment of
the job advised and discussed with the team to requirement documentation of the job.
o To be arranged, related Lifting, Rigging, GBP calculations and JHA job hazard analysis.
o To be able to read and understand the lifting plan drawings, the required documents to be
arranged to execute and to complete the job, as per the condition.
o To be able to do required PTW shall be issued and followed to take approval from the concern
parties as per the site condition requirements.
o To be ensured the required Safety TBT to be done and take all the concern team signatures,
before the execute the job and maintain the record.
o To be ensured that all the work performed safely as per the PTW precaution and guidelines.
o To be ensured daily routine and non-routine maintenance jobs Rigging activity like Motor, Pump,
Valve Exchanger Bundle Cooler, Blower replacement, spools, Fin fan, Bundle coolers and Bearing
replacement in safely manner to be followed and adhered as per the QatarEnergy Lifting Equipments standards and procedures.
o To be ensured the after job completion, concern site area housekeeping to be done by all safety
manner and safety procedures.
o To be ensured the proper information and communication provide time to time to Heavy Equipment supervisor to manage the further schedules.
Certifications:
o To be provided related TPI Certificates and experience letters
o Driving License, preferable QatarDriving License.
o Preferable PTW Certification and H2S certificates from safety team
o To be familiar with Auto CAD, MS Office and SAP familiar with computer-based Rigging and Lifting management system.
