This role offers the flexibility of working from your home base while contributing to critical freight and delivery operations.
Responsibilities:
- Virtually manage and oversee the dispatch of heavy vehicle fleets, ensuring timely and efficient route planning and execution from a remote location.
- Monitor driver performance and vehicle telematics through advanced tracking systems, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with logistics coordinators and operational managers to resolve any logistical challenges or disruptions in real-time.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatched vehicles, cargo manifests, and delivery confirmations, ensuring data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company policies, including safety protocols and hours-of-service requirements, through remote supervision and reporting.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service representatives to facilitate smooth operations.
- Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions to minimize delays and optimize delivery schedules.
- Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes.
Qualifications:
- Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (H License or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience driving heavy vehicles (e.g., trucks, trailers, tankers).
- Strong understanding of Indian road networks, traffic laws, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and fleet management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team remotely.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Experience with logistics coordination or dispatch is highly advantageous.
- Must have a stable internet connection and a dedicated workspace conducive to remote work.
Location: This is a fully remote position, with the operational oversight focusing on logistics within and around Vadodara, Gujarat, IN .
