• Strong understanding of environmental management systems and sustainability practices.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills.

What you bring to the role

• Minimum Diploma level qualifications in work, health and safety and relevant trade based qualifications or equivalent.
• 5 years + demonstrated experience as a safety professional or advisor in high-risk industries.
• Proven experience and qualifications in undertaking investigations through the use of methodologies such as Incident Casual Analysis Method (ICAM).
• Proven experience in the implementation and delivery of safety strategies, policies, frameworks, systems and processes.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety theory and practice across complex multi‐site businesses.
• Demonstrated experience in influencing and coaching a wide range of stakeholders.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and a proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation.
• Valid driver’s licence.

EHS Officer – Solar Projects

Role Overview

The EHS Officer ensures that all solar project activities comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations. This includes overseeing site operations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a safety-first culture across solar farms or rooftop installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Safety Compliance Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols, PPE usage, and regulatory standards during solar panel installation and maintenance.
• Environmental Oversight Ensure compliance with environmental laws regarding waste disposal, emissions, and water usage on solar sites.
• Risk Assessments & Audits Conduct regular inspections, hazard identification, and safety audits. Recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks2.
• Training & Toolbox Talks Organize daily pre-job briefings, safety inductions, and awareness programs for workers and subcontractors2.
• Incident Management Investigate accidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures2.
• Emergency Preparedness Maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills for fire, electrical hazards, and medical emergencies2.
• Documentation & Reporting Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and safety equipment. Submit reports to project managers and regulatory bodies3.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety.
• Valid certifications: NEBOSH , OSHA , Fire Safety , First Aid .
• 4–7 years of experience in solar, construction, or energy sectors3.
• Strong knowledge of JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and CAPA (Corrective Action Plans) .

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HSE Officer to join our team and support the safe execution of oil & gas EPC projects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about health, safety, and environmental compliance and will play a key role in promoting a safety-first culture across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in HSE in any industry, with at least 1 year experience in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects / operations / production in the oil & gas or petro-chemical industries.
• Must have a Bachelor Degree OR Diploma
• Must have a NEBOSH IGC or Equivalent certificate
• Additional HSE Trainings / Certifications will be added advantage

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to conduct HSE orientation / induction/HSE awareness sessions to workers
• Ability to understand and implement HSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures/plans and site specific HSE procedures / work instructions.
• Practical experience in implementation of SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.)
• Awareness of practical H2S control measures.
• Ability to conduct HSE inspections
• Ability to understand and implement incident reporting and investigation procedures
• Ability to speak read and write English with good communication skills.
