Role Purpose:
Overall responsibility to ensure Health & Safety of operations. Responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and for providing assurance of compliance through audit and gap assessment. Set standards for meeting the operational skill of all personnel and manage assessments, gap analysis, and training requirements.
Principal Accountabilities & Key Activities
· Review and continuously update the Safety Standards for all the processes.
· Conduct shop floor Safety audits, Identify opportunities for improvement.
· Develop and auditing of SOPs in manufacturing process to deliver consistent results to best safety standards.
· Preparation & Implementation of H&S trainings.
· Fire Protection - Periodic monitoring system.
· Ensuring 100% compliance towards Legal & Coats H&S guideline requirements
· Build the Safety culture to the employees
· Ensuring emergency preparedness level and improve the existing condition.
Activity Description:

· Analysis of incidents Investigation and its horizontal deployment.

- Proven experience and qualifications in undertaking investigations through the use of methodologies such as Incident Casual Analysis Method (ICAM).
- Proven experience in the implementation and delivery of safety strategies, policies, frameworks, systems and processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety theory and practice across complex multi‐site businesses.
- Demonstrated experience in influencing and coaching a wide range of stakeholders.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and a proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation.
- Valid driver’s licence.

NOTE : This position is for deployment to our site operations in UNITED ARAB EMIRATES. Only candidates willing to work in UAE need to apply.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 8-10 years experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects/operations in the oil and gas petrochemical industries
- Bachelors Degree in relevant Engineering OR Science OR HSE discipline
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certificate
- Must have Lead Auditor ISO 45001/ISO 14001 or equivalent certifications
- Must have Incident Investigation Techniques certificate
- Additional HSE trainings and certifications will be an added advantage
Skills and Competencies
- Have strong understanding of the HSE issues, practices and behavioral aspects in the Oil & Gas EPC business.
- Able to lead a team of HSE personnel such as HSE officers, Hygiene officers etc.
- Sound understanding of the HSE Management System and HSE legislative requirements.
- Ability to develop and implement HSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures/plans and site specific HSE procedures / work instructions.
- Practical experience in implementation of SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.)
- Ability to conduct training/awareness sessions on relevant HSE procedures applicable to the SOW.
- Ability to implement practical H2S control measures.
- Ability to conduct HSE audits and inspections.
- Ability to investigate incidents, identify immediate and root causes.
- Ability to speak, read and write English with good communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.
