Job Role:

  1. Ensuring that the Company EHS Policy is understood & implemented throughout the Organization wherever necessary by delegation, in liaison with MR & Concerned Department Heads.

  3. Compliances Environment Monitoring/ requirements in the organization and submitted within time frame.

  5. Investigating accidents / incidents and implementing actions to prevent a recurrence wherever possible.
  6. Responsible for EHS implementation and spread awareness of it.
  7. Responsible for implementation of HIRA and aspect impact.
  8. Awareness in the organization regarding emergency preparedness plan, work safety and work environment during working/ performing activity.
  9. Co-operating and working in conjunction with the relevant personnel to ensure best practice with regard to EHS issues.
  10. Ensure Company/ Contract employee working under safety norms.
  11. Maintain Operational control available in organization.
  12. To carry our safety induction training and screening for new joiners.
  13. To identify the unsafe condition and report to concerned for rectification and to follow up for its implementation. Suggest improvement/modification in existing working habits or working system.
  14. Handling of safety work permit system at plant and monitor safe handling of job till completion.
  15. To organize & conduct regular EHS checks at plant. (Reactor, Cf, Tanker unloading area, electrical checking, process safety etc.

  4. To prepare accident investigation report and CAPA
  5. To Preparation of Risk Assessment and job safety analysis.
  6. To monitoring Hazardous waste disposal for incineration and land filling & GPCB.
  7. To check process equipment’s during DQ, IQ, OQ.
  8. To ensure statutory/ non statutory safety compliance under the factory act, ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 etc.
  9. To monitoring ETP, ME, RO operation.
  10. To prepare Safety budgets.
  11. To celebrate Safety week, Tree plantation, Environment day, CSR activities.
  12. To prepare and maintain all kinds of reports such as on site emergency plant, Mock drill, HAZOP, daily /monthly safety reports, SOP preparation, etc.

**About the position:**
The Safety Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and analysis of Control of Work (CoW) activities supporting enterprise-wide activities including the development and implementation of safe work practices and standards. The Safety Specialist reports to the Workforce Safey Team Lead in the Chevron Engine in Bengaluru, India.
**Key responsibilities:**
+ Serve as a technical resource for safety matters and Safe Work Practices, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry guidance
+ Utilize IT tools for analysis of safety data and trends to identify areas of improvement to provide actionable insights to enhance workplace safety
+ Support the development and delivery of control of work (CoW) process and standards, including engagements with business units, facilitation of teams, and development of deployment materials
+ Provide support to Enterprise and Business Units including technical support for control of work, interpretation of standards, and regulations
+ Assist in developing and delivering HSE training course materials, including providing live instruction for various topics
+ Support efforts to prevent incidents with a focus on eliminating significant incidents and fatalities through providing guidance on implementation and delivery of the CoW process, standards and procedures
+ Position supports delivery of work including workforce safety focus area projects and pilots across the Enterprise
+ Support incident investigation process and provide analysis of root cause analysis and trends
+ Support for electronic Control of Work (eCoW) digital tool including development of enhancements and data analysis
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience
+ Comprehensive Safety Knowledge: Demonstrates technical understanding and ability to apply health & safety standards and regulations pertaining to industrial workplace settings
+ Knowledge of oil & gas industry safety procedures, policies, & regulatory requirements
+ Experience with Safety Audits and Inspections: Proven experience conducting audits, field inspections, and providing interpretations of regulatory regulations, and industry standards / guidance is preferred
+ Experience in development and communicating safety procedures and conducting training for this material is preferred
+ Ability to Interpret laws/regulations or policies/best practices, develop compliance guidelines, and provide practical solutions for field implementation is preferred

  • Utilize your safety knowledge to provide expert advice on our product range.

  • Develop and update safety procedures and protocols to comply with local, national, and international regulations for SafetyConnect’s products.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant safety laws and regulations.

  • Work with the customer success team on strategies to boost product adoption and value. 

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within targeted markets.

  • Work closely with sales to close deals.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and client interactions.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations tailored to client needs.

  • Offer consultative solutions that address specific safety requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, and product teams to align sales efforts and ensure client satisfaction.



Requirements /Qualifications : 


  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written). 

  • Self-motivated with a diligent work ethic, business acumen, enthusiasm and passion, and ability to understand client needs. 

  • NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, CSP, ASP or equivalent Certification in Occupational Health and Safety.

  • Previous 4+ years of experience in a safety-related field or role is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
