Maharashtra  ₹4,00,000 - ₹12,00,000 per year  help_outline CaneBOT

Job Description

Company Description At CaneBOT , we are building the future of fresh beverage retail through automation.

Our flagship innovation, CaneBOT , is a fully autonomous robotic sugarcane juice vending machine designed to make fresh, natural beverages accessible through a scalable technology-led retail model.

We have appeared on Shark Tank India and backed by IIT Bombay, and IIT Ropar, Cricketer Ajinkya Rahane and Indraneel Chitale.

As our network of machines grows, we are looking for a hands-on Sales & Operations Specialist who can take ownership of the performance of our deployed locations - ensuring that every CaneBOT operates efficiently, delivers a great customer experience and, most importantly, achieves its sales potential.

The Role

This is not a conventional operations role, and it is not a desk-based sales role. You will essentially be the business owner for CaneBOT's deployed locations .

Your responsibility will span both sales growth and operational performance . You will closely monitor each location, understand what is driving or restricting sales, and take action on the ground; whether that means improving machine visibility, running sampling or promotional activities, working with the location partner, improving customer engagement or recommending relocation of an underperforming machine.

At the same time, you will ensure that every machine remains operationally ready; with adequate inventory, high uptime, timely issue resolution, adherence to SOPs and consistently strong customer experience.

What You Will Own

Your biggest responsibility will be machine-level revenue . You will analyse daily and weekly sales, identify underperforming locations and develop location-specific action plans to improve performance. You should be comfortable experimenting with local-store marketing initiatives, corporate activations, sampling, offers, events and partnerships — and measuring what actually moves sales.

You will also coordinate closely with our operations team, operators, technicians, vendors and location partners to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the network. As we add more machines, you will help us develop the systems, SOPs and reporting discipline required to operate them efficiently at scale.

This role requires substantial time in the field. We expect you to visit locations, observe customers, talk to them, understand operational issues firsthand and solve problems.

Who We're Looking For

We would particularly like to meet candidates with 5–10 years of experience in QSR, F&B, retail or multi-location operations , preferably in roles such as Area Manager, Cluster Manager, Operations Manager or Sales & Operations Manager.

Experience with brands where individual outlet performance matters would be particularly relevant.

You should understand store-level sales, P&L, inventory, manpower, customer experience and local-store marketing , but equally importantly, you should have the commercial instinct to ask:

“What can I do to make this location sell more?”

We're looking for someone who is comfortable switching between analysing an Excel report in the morning, meeting a mall or corporate partner in the afternoon, running an activation at a machine in the evening and resolving an operational problem when required.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role isn't simply that the machines are running. It means machines are running AND selling. Your key measures will include growth in revenue per machine, cups sold per day, machine uptime, performance against location-level targets, effectiveness of sales initiatives, customer experience and the overall profitability of our deployed network.

Why CaneBOT?

This is an opportunity to move beyond managing established stores and participate in building a completely new retail format from the ground up . You'll work directly with the founders and have significant ownership in shaping how CaneBOT's retail network operates and scales. As the network grows, we see this role evolving into a much larger leadership responsibility across Sales & Operations .
