Own the customer journey. Drive conversions. Build trust at scale.
Company Name: ZoloStays
Business Unit: Student Housing
Designation: Sales Associate (Includes Field Sales Responsibilities)
Location: Bangalore
Salary Range: 4 - 6 LPA (Subject to the candidate's seniority, relevant experience, role fit, and internal compensation policies)
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Required: 0 - 2 years
Why this role exists:
Student housing decisions are high-stakes decisions.
For every inquiry:
A student is moving to a new city - A parent is evaluating safety and trust.
The decision window is short but critical. The gap in the market is not supply — it is guided by decision-making with trust and speed.
Most sales failures happen because: Leads are not handled with urgency, Conversations lack clarity and confidence, Follow-ups are inconsistent, CRM discipline is weak.
This role exists to ensure:
- Every lead is handled with speed and structure
- Every conversation builds trust and reduces uncertainty
- Every follow-up moves the customer closer to decision
- Every interaction contributes to occupancy
If this role is strong → conversions increase, occupancy improves, brand trust builds.
If this role is weak → leads drop, inventory stays empty, trust erodes
Your mandate is clear:
- Own the customer journey from inquiry → booking → move-in
- Convert leads with clarity, speed, and consistency
- Recommend the right property based on real needs
- Follow up until decision is made
- Maintain strong CRM discipline
- Contribute directly to occupancy
This is not a calling role. This is a conversion ownership role.
About Zolo and Student Housing:
Finding dependable accommodation has historically been fragmented and inconsistent. People settled for compromises because the system offered few trustworthy options. Zolo reimagined living and hospitality as a connected journey.
- Zolo Coliving simplifies urban living and student living creates safe, structured environments where students can focus and grow.
- Z Vacations enable meaningful travel experiences.
- Z Hotels serves the modern traveler with consistency, warmth, and operational discipline.
Today, over 100,000 people trust Zolo across different phases of life.
Our ambition is to build the most trusted living and hospitality ecosystem for the new generation by partnering deeply with property owners who think long term.
What you will be responsible for:
1. Manage Customer Conversations
- Handle inbound and outbound calls + WhatsApp
- Understand requirements: budget, location, college, move-in timeline
- Build trust through clarity, tone, and responsiveness
- Remove confusion and simplify decisions
2. Drive Conversions
- Recommend relevant properties (not generic options)
- Create urgency where needed
- Handle objections (price, location, alternatives)
- Close bookings with confidence
3. Follow-up & Pipeline Management
- Maintain structured follow-ups
- Ensure no lead is dropped or forgotten
- Prioritize high-intent leads
- Push customers towards decision
4. Booking & Move-in Coordination
- Guide customers through booking steps
- Ensure documentation and payments are completed
- Share accurate move-in details
- Ensure smooth handover to operations
5. CRM & Process Discipline
- Update every interaction in CRM
- Maintain accurate lead stages
- Track pipeline daily
- Ensure zero data gaps
6. Feedback & Market Intelligence
- Capture why customers convert / don’t convert
- Identify pricing gaps, demand trends, objections
- Share structured insights with team leads
- Contribute to improving conversion strategy
What success looks like after 6–12 months:
- Consistent conversion rate above benchmark
- Strong contribution to occupancy targets
- High lead-to-booking efficiency
- Zero lead leakage
- Strong customer feedback (trust + clarity)
- Clean and accurate CRM pipeline
Your performance should be visible in: Numbers + discipline + customer confidence
Who this role is for:
You will likely thrive if:
- You are comfortable speaking to new people every day
- You can influence decisions without being pushy
- You are target-driven and competitive
- You follow through consistently
- You take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks
- You can handle pressure and rejection
