MSCI Services is looking for a Vice President to join our Data Collection team. This team is crucial for collecting and processing over 2.5K raw data points across 70K companies from 300 public sources, representing millions of news articles and documents annually. This effort leads to 20 million data updates per year, providing publicly disclosed raw input data for various MSCI products, models, and indexes. We focus heavily on applying QA to data extracted from filings, news, websites, NGOs, or received from data providers.

Responsibilities:

• Help nurture a team of young and experienced professionals, supporting their professional growth and development while embracing our values of diversity and inclusion.
• Manage team production and capacity planning . Identify resource availability for production and other product support processes. Create production and resourcing proposals for new projects and initiatives.
• Lead the team in delivering top-quality data aligned with MSCI methodology, service level agreements, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive process improvements to ensure consistent data quality and efficiency, such as automation of data quality diagnostics by developing new systems/tools that enable quality assessment without manual intervention.
• Lead initiatives on scaling up operations, process changes, business priorities , and client expectations. Collaborate with working committees, projects, or perform other tasks as deemed necessary by the business.
• Work with vendor teams on quality (timeliness and accuracy) expectations and metrics . This includes overseeing the vendor budget allocation for your product.
• Facilitate steering calls, regular stakeholder, and senior leader meetings to report on key performance metrics and initiatives. Escalate cases and challenges as necessary.
• Respond to client and issuer queries and be at the forefront representing the team on corporate and client engagements.

Qualifications:

• Strong skills (written and oral), proficiency in creating presentations, data analysis, and excellent research and analytical skills.
• Must have a good command over Excel tools and functionality for dealing with large volumes of data.
• Experience in issuer/corporate relations and client communication .
• Comfortable working in a team environment across hierarchies, functions, and geographies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people in different offices and time zones.
• Sound knowledge about equities or financial markets in general , and knowledge of company disclosures, filings, and public company reporting, including 10-Ks and annual reports.
• Good to have: Exposure to pandas or tools like Power BI and Jupyter notebooks .
• ESG or regulatory related experience would be an added advantage, but is not a must.

The QC Engineer (Civil/MEP) is responsible for ensuring that construction activities comply with technical specifications, standards, and client requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, material testing, and reviewing documentation to ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

For Civil QC:

Inspect ongoing civil works such as RCC, brickwork, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.

Verify formwork, rebar, concrete mix, and curing processes.

Monitor third-party testing of materials like cement, sand, aggregates, bricks, and concrete.

Ensure proper documentation of material approvals, inspection requests (IRs), and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

For MEP QC:

Inspect installation of HVAC, electrical panels, plumbing systems, fire-fighting, and other MEP services.

Verify testing and commissioning of MEP systems as per design and safety standards.

Ensure correct routing, cable management, pipe sizing, insulation, and earthing practices are followed.

Check and verify materials as per approved make and technical submittals.

Common QC Duties:

Coordinate with contractors and consultants for inspections and approvals.

Maintain and update quality checklists, logs, and QA/QC reports.

Issue NCRs and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Support internal and third-party audits and ensure timely closure of observations.

Train site staff and workers on quality best practices and specifications.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of IS codes, NBC, and standard construction & MEP practices.

Familiar with quality tools and procedures such as checklists, WIR, MIR, NCR, RFI, etc.

Proficient in reading civil/MEP drawings and specifications.

Hands-on experience in site inspections and lab/field testing.

Good communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Background:

Real Estate Projects (Residential, Commercial, Mixed-use)

Infrastructure (Hospitals, Hotels, Factories, Malls)

MEP Contracting Firms or PMC.

• Train and mentor team members on quality control practices and standards.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality assurance standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
• 5-15 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance roles.
• Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality inspection techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
