Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Dynamics 365FO Supply Chain Management (SCM) Consultant to lead functional design, configuration, testing, and go-live support for core supply chain processes. The ideal candidate has deep functional knowledge of D365 SCM modules, hands-on implementation experience, and strong stakeholder-management skills. This role requires working US Eastern Time hours and an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops to capture supply chain requirements and map current-state processes.
- Design and configure D365 SCM modules - Inventory Management, Warehouse Management (WMS), Procurement and Sourcing, Product Information Management (PIM), Trade and Logistics, Master Planning, Transportation Management, and Manufacturing basics related to BOMs and routing.
- Configure advanced warehouse processes - work templates, wave and batch jobs, location directives, mobile device setup, and RF processes.
- Implement warehouse optimization techniques - cycle counting strategies, slotting, put-away and picking optimization, and replenishment rules.
- Implement procurement and sourcing processes - purchase requisitions, RFQs, purchase orders, vendor setup, and vendor collaboration flows.
- Configure master planning (MRP) and forecasting tools - coverage groups, demand forecasting, ATP checks, and supply planning.
- Collaborate with integration and development teams to enable inbound/outbound integration with WMS, TMS, MES, third-party logistics, and e-commerce platforms.
- Lead testing activities - unit testing, integration testing, and UAT; develop test scripts and coordinate business testers.
- Plan and execute data migrations for products, inventory balances, vendors, BOMs, and transactions; validate and reconcile results.
- Provide go-live and hypercare support, troubleshooting functional issues and stabilizing processes.
- Prepare functional design documents, user guides, and conduct training sessions for end users.
- Support pre-sales scoping, effort estimates, and risk identification for SCM workstreams.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years of hands-on Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management consulting experience with full-cycle implementations.
- Strong functional expertise across D365 SCM modules listed above, with specific depth in Warehouse Management and Inventory Management.
- Hands-on configuration experience with mobile device framework, location directives, work templates, and wave processing.
- Solid understanding of procurement flows, vendor collaboration, PO lifecycle, and invoice reconciliation.
- Experience with master planning, MRP setup, coverage planning, and forecasting techniques.
- Experience in integrations with TMS, MES, ecommerce platforms, or third-party WMS solutions.
- Proficiency with data migration tools/approaches (Data Management Framework, templates, staging) and data reconciliation.
- Ability to write clear functional specifications and validate technical deliverables.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent English communication skills; able to run workshops and present to operations and supply chain leaders.
