Job Description

The Securities & Derivative Analyst 1 is an entry level position responsible for monitoring the risk and control key risk indicators and ensuring the relevant status update is shared with the respective process owners within Market Operations. To achieve this it will be imperative to understand the functions performed by each of the units within Market Ops and the roles and responsibilities handed internally.The overall objective of this role is to assist in the timely sharing of information with regards to centralised submission with respect to exceptions / manual payment volumes/ non-eers reviews / training status / health of the units with respect to corrective actions plan closures in a timely manner / audit observations commentary submission / process notes submission in a timely as per format. Responsibilities:
Cross train within different units to be able to contribute in handling processing of static data maintenance / sanctions screening and also perform risk and controls activities.Track for FEDAI exam clearance for the eligible staff and ensure monitoring and tracking for compliance.
Prepare /keep existing process notes updated for the key control functions like uploading non-automated feeds / admin functions assigned for certain applications.
Ensure control lapses or delays in submission of data w.r.t control activities is duly reported and escalated. Ensure timely communication of deliverables to the relevant process teams with target dates to ensure submission to regional and local asks.
Qualifications:
1 or 2 years of experience in handling risk and control activities
High Level understanding of Treasury products
Ability to juggle between tasks and communicate with multiple stakeholders
Demonstrated knowledge of excel
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education:
Bachelor's Degree/University degree or MBA

Mandatory requirements:
+ Oversee middle office activities with emphasis on client account updates and adherence to compliance protocols
+ Handle routine inquiries and follow-ups received via email from FAs, OSJs (Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction) and RSOs (Regional Supervisory Officers).
+ Review conversion checklists and ensure seamless conversion of client accounts into managed programs.
+ Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards; proactively communicate any discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
+ Analyze, review, and validate U.S. tax forms (W-9, W-8 series) with moderate to complex scenarios at Level 1.
+ Submit service center requests for federal and FATCA withholding reversals in accordance with guidelines.
+ Process and update client information such as address changes, Net worths, Employment Info, Demographic changes based on daily maintenance requests.
+ Initiate and track Work Status Requests to ensure accurate updates across internal systems.
+ Monitor key operational queues for tax forms and submit appropriate correction or escalation requests.
+ Coordinate remediation efforts by sending notification emails to Financial Advisors (FAs) for required corrections.
+ Regularly review team mailboxes and system databases to ensure timely response and resolution of all items.
+ Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs); support a control-focused environment by adhering to documentation protocols.
+ Assist with audit processes, including preparation of supporting documentation and communication records.
+ Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management review and audit readiness.

Our client, a dynamic fintech firm, is seeking a highly analytical and skilled Quantitative Analyst to join their fully remote team. This role is crucial in developing, implementing, and validating complex financial models used for trading strategies, risk management, and portfolio optimization. You will leverage advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to analyze market data, identify trading opportunities, and build robust quantitative models.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering. You should have a strong command of programming languages like Python, C++, or R, coupled with extensive experience in financial modeling, econometrics, and data analysis. A deep understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and risk management principles is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment are critical. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quantitative models for financial markets.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and trading signals.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or R.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and risk management.

  • Experience with statistical software and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex models to non-technical stakeholders.
