Key Responsibilities

- To ensure and coordinate an uninterrupted regular and smooth flow of traffic through the porch with Front office Team.
- To ensure that no car is permitted to wait in the porch for long periods (5-6 minutes during peak hours and 10-15 minutes during dull periods. Cars with guests sitting inside may be permitted waiting for longer period however ensure they are waiting for more guest to come.
- To ensure that no car is permitted to be locked in the porch.
- No taxis are permitted to be parked/ waiting in the porch unless the driver is awaiting payment from a guest.
- To ensure that there should be no car keys inside the cars awaiting handling by the car valets, Keys should be with the Security Guard/SA/Valet on duty.
- No haphazard parking of cars should take place in or along the porch approach / exit, which could cause obstruction in movement of traffic in the porch subsequently.
- To ensure that guest is given valet docket against the car key(s) by the valet and exterior/interior of the vehicle is checked to see any damage/suspicious item lying in the car before parking the car. In case of any issue, same should be informed to the Guest.

- To ensure that no haphazard parking takes place outside or around the main entrance which could cause obstruction in the flow of traffic.
- RECEIVING BAY
- To organize and ensure a coordinated inward/outward movement of vehicular traffic, material and supplies and suppliers / contractors and their staff into the receiving area. No clustering of vehicles or bunching of persons/stores should take place to keep the area free from having used as parking space.
- To ensure that all the items going in are checked through the Cargo Scanner/Mobile tracer.
- To oversee and ensure that all stores going out from this area (other than those already in the vehicle meant for other hotels / areas) are thoroughly in the vehicle and cleared as under :-
- a) All hotels stores and including empties against formal authorized gate pass.
- b) Supplies and stores brought in by the Suppliers: Against formal authorized gate-passes refracting stores as rejected, supplier's material / property / contractor property etc.
- To restrict movement of unauthorized persons in this area and to restrict their workers from entering in the hotel areas beyond receiving area without a formal visitor pass and escorted by the Department representative.
- To oversee the replacement of empty crates of soft drinks bottles, strictly as per the specific gate pass issued. To ensure that no extra empties are loaded on to the truck by the supplier staff or even by one of the hotel staff either in a deliberate or even a clandestine manner.
- Not to permit any naked fire in the receiving area.
- To report all stores supplies etc left inside the receiving area unattended after closing of receiving for the day
- Guest Floors & Heart of the House:
- To ensure that no luggage is lying in the Corridor. Incase, of luggage, Bell Desk is informed.
