ROLE OVERVIEW
The Network Security Technician plays a frontline role in ensuring that network security systems remain reliable and effective. WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Deployment & Configuration
- Assist with the setup, deployment, and configuration of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security tools.
- Apply standard security configurations to devices and ensure consistent deployment practices.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Monitor the health of network security infrastructure and quickly respond to technical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching of security systems.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and configuration problems, escalating as needed.
- Operational Support
- Serve as the first point of contact for operational issues related to network security tools.
- Support engineers in testing, implementing, and documenting security changes.
- Maintain accurate records of device inventory, configurations, and updates.

WHAT YOU BRING
Education & Experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support, networking, or security operations.
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network monitoring tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for network and security device configurations.
- Familiarity with configuration management and patching practices.
- Understanding of network protocols and basic security principles.
