Over the years, STSI has also developed key expertise and support roles in higher scale work both in business vertical (within a PG) and horizontal (across PGs). To position itself as a critical support Centre for EMS capable of strong value addition while also being recognized as having their own excellence in key services, STSI has identified the need to attain a recognition as a Centre of Excellence (CoE).




The position is for an Electronics Engineer who can remotely support the tech center in Middle East & also open to travel to the Tech Center for short durations.



Job Responsibilities:


The role of the Electrical Engineer is:


· Study electrical circuit design document, electrical schematics and manual test instruction procedure and completely understand PCBA functionality.

· Perform circuit simulation using software like PSpice, LTSpice, and/or Cadence etc.

· Perform PCBA testing and debugging using standard measurement equipment.

· Analyze electronic components to find suitable replacements.

· Develop technical documentation required for sustaining PCBA like design document, manuals, test procedure etc.

· Work with Electrical CAD designers for preparing circuit schematic/PCBA layout, bill of materials and review their work.

· Provide bill of materials and procure components for prototyping PCBA.

· Perform statistical analysis of data provided.

· Prepare and continuously share updates of the detailed project plan and progress of project with other Schlumberger Product Centers.



Academic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a premier Tier-2 college ( Preferably NITs or Deemed University) in India


Experience : 2-5 Years



Key Skills:-


  • Electronic circuit design (analog & digital)
  • Circuit simulation
  • Testing and troubleshooting / debugging of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA)
  • Mixed-signal Electronics
  • Rework/repair



Skills Required:-


  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical/electronic circuit analysis, failure investigation and analysis of electronic components and printed circuit assembly boards.
  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical circuit simulation using PSpice, Cadence etc.
  • Hands-on experience in printed circuit assembly boards testing and debugging using standard measurement equipment (such as digital multi-meter, power supply, digital oscilloscope, function generator, logic analyzer).
  • Knowledge and experience of digital serial and parallel communication protocols such as RS232, RS485, CAN etc - Basic statistical analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.



Additional Skills:-


  • Knowledge / understanding of grounding and shielding techniques and standards (EMI/EMC) for keeping signal integrity in mixed signal boards.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of programming of devices such as microprocessors, FPGAs
  • LabVIEW, VHDL




This is an office-based position, with the expectation to come in four days a week.
