# Job Summary:
Bechtel India is seeking a senior Project Estimator with ability to support a functional role at Gurgaon office. The position requires talent management and work oversight capability. Incumbent will be required to prepare, review and present project and/or discipline estimates, namely civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, construction distributable, services) for projects and proposals. Person will provide estimating assistance and guidance to projects, develop conceptual estimates, and lead estimate reviews and presentations.
# Major Responsibilities:
+ Develops project estimate plans based on scope, contract, estimate type, and resources.
+ Conducts capital cost estimates and defines scope assumptions with stakeholders.
+ Prepares documentation for estimate basis and assumptions.

# Education and Experience Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering with 15+ years of industry experience and 10+ years in Estimating.
+ Experience with supervising and leading a team of estimators. Skilled in oral and written communication. Advanced knowledge and experience with EPC estimating methods, processes, and procedures including the full range estimate classifications levels.
# Required Knowledge and Skills:
+ Demonstrated advanced understanding of Estimating core processes and procedures requiring minimal direction and supervision.
+ Advance knowledge and experience in EPC estimating practices and methods, processes, and procedures, in addition to the estimate types, classifications, and components.
+ Experience with Lump Sum Design Build estimates. Specifically understands detail level estimates and design packages.
+ Demonstrated ability to organize, perform, and present cost estimating products with a minimum of supervision.
+ Broad knowledge and experience in construction estimating practices and methods. Knowledge of manual labor performance, equipment production and derivation of composite craft/category labor rates.
+ Practical experience in performing statistical analysis, cost, and price analysis.

**The Estimator is part of the Engineering Services organization within the Chevron ENGINE Center and supports a multi-functional team with cost estimating and budgeting activities, including the development of cost estimates, supporting through phase assurance activities, and providing estimating consulting and assurance services.**

Job Description

**Technical Skills:**
+ Estimation- Input study, generation of RFI's, HVAC equipment take-off, preparation of IO summary, DDC controller sizing, field device selection, preparation of BOQ, costing, valve selection, cable schedule.
+ Proposals- Studying specifications and arrive at inclusion/ exclusion list, Technical qualifications/ assumptions/ deviations.
+ Technical submittals- Preparation of system architecture, floor risers, control schematics, specification compliance etc. as per regional requirements.
+ Commercial exposure- Vendor management, taxations.
+ Contributing and tracking the regional technical preferences on estimations, awareness of the product ranges, ability to apply knowledge and understanding of Honeywell products to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
+ Performing quality checks for the jobs.
+ Contribute towards establishing & standardization of new processes for cost optimization & cycle time reduction.
+ Sound Knowledge of business processes and systems.
