Key Responsibilities:
- Packaging Operations:
- Oversee and execute proper packaging of finished goods as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure appropriate materials (boxes, wraps, tapes, etc.) are used based on product type.
- Inspect packaging quality and ensure damage-free products.
- Lacing/Strapping/Bundling:
- Operate lacing or strapping machines/tools for securing product bundles.
- Check bundle alignment and integrity to prevent movement or damage during transit.
- Monitor and maintain lacing equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Palletization:
- Stack and arrange packaged goods on pallets using optimal space and load distribution techniques.
- Wrap pallets securely using stretch film or shrink wrap to avoid damage during handling.
- Ensure proper labelling and tagging of pallets for identification and tracking.
- Inventory and Reporting:
- Record packaging material consumption and report shortages or defects.
- Maintain logs of packaged and palletized goods for daily reporting.
- Coordinate with warehouse or dispatch teams for timely movement of pallets.
- Quality & Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to quality control standards during packaging and palletizing processes.
- Ensure all safety measures are followed, including PPE usage and safe lifting practices.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Team Coordination:
- Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to meet daily dispatch targets.
