About the Role:
Rocket Capital is hiring a Principal for Private Credit to lead origination and execution in India. This role suits an investment professional with deep experience in leveraged finance, debt advisory, or private credit who can operate independently while collaborating across borders.
You will:
- Originate and evaluate private credit opportunities across mid-market and growth-stage companies
- Structure and underwrite transactions across the capital structure including senior secured, mezzanine, convertible, and other structured debt
- Build and review financial models, run sensitivity analyses, and assess covenant frameworks and downside cases
- Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to the Investment Committee
- Lead due diligence and transaction execution with internal teams and external advisors
- Monitor portfolio performance, track covenants, and identify early warning signals
- Collaborate with Rocket Capital teams across Southeast Asia on origination, syndication, and co-investment
Who We Are Looking For
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, debt advisory, or structured finance
- Strong academic credentials. MBA in Finance, CFA, or Chartered Accountant preferred
- Demonstrated ability to source, structure, and execute private credit transactions with clear risk assessment
- Advanced analytical and underwriting skills including financial modeling and credit metrics
